This is exactly how I feel about Vanille Havane. It explores all the facets of Vanilla. Antoine Lie is doing amazing things with Les Indomadables. Cannot wait to try this. 👏🏼

Good to hear your thoughts on this one. Ambre Suprême is definitely on my list to try/get by the end of the year. Ambergris is such an unusual and rare material. I think about the first people who discovered the stuff, sniffed it, and tried to use it in perfumes haha. Crazy lol

This was one of my favourites from my sample set for sure. I was a little underwhelmed with this house to start with because they seemed a bit simple but giving each one a full wear (or as close to a full wear as you can get from the mouse sneeze sample bottles) you can tell the ingredients are high quality as the perfumes change a lot throughout the day.

Yes i agree Ambre Suprême is special especially with natural ingridients at such a premium now a days 🐳 i think oriental velours is still my favorite.. that spruce note really gets me in that one... i will do an early impressions video on oriental velours soon... it is deserving 😎

Starting to like this brand. Rose de Jamal is on my buy list for this year

Yes I remember that interview on Galens channel excellent.... I agree a piece of ambergris is like a time capsule. Think of all the contributions to it's composition especially an older piece.... Great Tedx talk. 🐏♈ ✌️

This is on my list to try as a fan of ensens mythic. Glad u gave Viking a shout out, I think its great, as modern a classic as Le lion - albeit the name is silly as the smell is nothing to do with a Viking or a long boat

Just call it what it is: magic. I put on my sample a few minutes ago and Ambre Supreme LIVES! I first thought I was mistaken and that what I smelled, and liked, through the plastic was imagined.... ... within 2 minutes the scent CHANGED and hidden notes came alive! 🍾 This is some perfumers 🪄 magic. (and I'm not even an amberhead)

ambergris comes directly from french, and the "gris" is just the word for "gray". up to you whether to use the anglo phonetic version or the french pronounced original

Watched a show with an ambergris hunter who said the proper way to pronounce the s at the end... but who knows I am no language expert lol

Very interesting and a great description, I've not ventured into Les Indomidables....yet. Partly because the name is unpronounceable or I can't stand people seemingly showing off saying it.... daft I know. However, I'm intrigued by ambergris and your description was similar to the 'feeling' that Mxxx by Eris Parfums gave me. At first my reaction was it's ok nothing special but with repeated wears it got me intrigued. For me I felt I was floating face up in the sea in a sunny destination, like when on vacation and you venture out deeper on your own. I watched Galen's video some time ago and a comment by Lyn ( also a Eugen viewer) mentioned the real ambergris in Mxxx, apparently 7% and by none other than Antoine Lie! He must have a helluva stash of real ambergris! Hopefully Eugen can set up an interview with him someday. As for the ambergris holding the scent that's the feeling I get, mind you recently in the news there was a story from I think India, where some fishermen came across a carcass of a Sperm Whale and from the smell they knew it contained ambergris, kilos of the stuff that is worth millions! Not sure what scent that will be holding in, certainly not a blue one!😆

They are worthy of your time I think... quality ingridients and top notch perfumers and I feel they make perfumes for the love of the art of creating perfumes not to sell units which appeals to fragrance lovers of all kinds ... cheers & thanks for watching 🍻

Every perfume lover should get their nose on this... special fragrance for sure 👍

After wearing Ambre Supreme multiple times, I think I prefer the perfumery-fantasy version of ambregris over the real thing. The briney notes in Ambre Supreme are not entirely pleasant to my nose.

It does have a little stink to it doesnt it?? I think its just something to be cherished as rarley will you get the chance to smell the real thing very often in todays synthetic world ... but i wont argue with you or fault you for taking that position 😊

This is actually not a weak projector. Choked out my coworkers with it thinking it would be. Very very strong. It's as strong as any other blue frag.

@Ramsey so would I but you should try their cologne Escale en Indonesie. It's actually a better use of ambergris IMO. More complex with citrus, bergamot, and a sandalwood that smells amazing (not like pickles). It changes everytime I smell it. It's actually priced really well too.

“Amber-griss” and all this time I thought you were saying it wrong.

Man, you can't say that 10% of ambergris usage is a lot and you especially can not compare it to oakmoss percentages. Learn what tinctures are, ambergris is particularly a tincture and it may not even be considered to contribute into overall oil concentration.

I think this has enough ambergris in it to be interesting enough in the cold weather even 🤌🏼🥰 I suggest you to give it a try in colder months and let me know what you think!
