Still relevant in 2020. There are some better substitute pieces here and there for the armor now but it's still really easy to put together what you showcased

except this "early high rank build" requires HR odo (7 star monster) materials to be strong. you are much better off having a sleep bombing tzitzi HBG set for HR, just dont use it vs the elder dragons beside nergigante. the monsters literally wont even be allowed to play the game, its beyond stupid. once you can build the nerg HBG HF dealing 200 damage per shot regularly post xeno.

I know this is 3 years later, but this is really simple and to the point AND very good. Thanks a lot man I have been looking for something like this, I beat the core game with Gun Lance and have been literally getting bitch slapped when I try and other weapon. So I am a try the LBG and see how it goes. It's my first Monster Hunter Game too.

as far i understand this armor build could be used not only with odogaron weapon tree, but to do elemental damage with the right adjustment, or i could be worng thinking that

I was unlucky so I skipped the odogaron beta coil for the Nerg Coil.(I got one gem that had to go toward Karma 1st.)

I used to love this weapon when I replayed the game, super comfy and safe whilst being able to quickly hunt any monster. I've tried many armor combinations and ultimately think that maximum damage/crit was the way to go for this weapon eventually... like most weapons lol. A nice tech was using the critical damage extender, Long Barrel I believe it's called. The 5% damage boost going from 2 to 3 close range up is really not noticeable. Before you have a good crit setup, definitely would recommend a combination of Ammo Up, Spare Shot, Normal Shot, Maximum Might and Attack Boost. Gear: Charm: Awakening Charm II (Ammo Up II), Head=Nerg (Maximum Might 2, Attack Boost 1), Body, Arms,Coil=Xeno'Jiva (Spare Shot/Critical Boost, only take Alpha version on the gloves for Critical Boost), Legs=Diablos Nero (Normal Shots). You can hunt literally any monster in HR quickly with that setup. I wouldn't change a single piece of armor. I used to think that Spare Shot with a low ammo count is wasteful, but it's actually extremely valuable because you reload way more often when the monster is down. Replacing a reload with a shot or 2 is gigantic.

Is this still good for patch 12.01? I have found a ton that aren't good by now...

It was a great build for me, but if you dont mind could you plz share some more lbg builds? Because I'm gonna need better gear throughout the game.

If I barely played, is this build easy to make? I haven't played since world was new. But I know I'm stuck on the rathalos. It's the poison for me that makes it hard. I also know I have no build I just did stuff and things happened. Keep thinking about getting back into monster hunter. But, kids. Just had a 3rd kid, and my time was already limited before. But if I can jump in, and play this game in an hr here, 2 hrs there. Then I'd love to play it again.

hi, i just watched your video and i love the way it looks and how it is effective but, i was just wondering how did you get the affinity up to 41 to 55 percent after upgrading? cause i'm stuck with only 35 affinity

So I've just checked it all out and without decorations this is what you get: 50% affinity with the base build in the video. Once you've upgraded some pieces you'll drop down to around 35% but you'll be maxed on weakness exploit giving you an extra 50% to weak spots so 85% total. You can then slot in some expert or other affinity boosting decorations to get close to 100%. Hope that helps!

Oh man that's a good question (going back a while here), but I believe I just farmed gold investigations and also used the wyverian print to buy them.

This should still be good for early high rank but as soon as you hit master rank on Iceborne you'll quickly replace this.

If you do not have iceborn and can only play high rank will this build carry though all of high rank(such as tempered lvl 1,2)or just early highrank?

What would you replace with what? I'm pretty new to this still. I've watched the whole video a few times I've seen the items you replace with progression items but are you saying you need to replace more then the items you mentioned to farm tempored efficiently? And if so what would you replace?

I wish to found sonething like that but for hbg hahaha

Thank you probably you are not playing the game anymore I just started playing mhwi it is very late lol cause I'm a portable person now that I have steam deck I bought the game I'm used to monster hunter rise/sunbreak and fir 3ds.
