Early Copper Coins: An Interesting Niche in the World of Numismatics
Ойын-сауық
Early copper coin collectors are very passionate about collecting and preserving the history of these coins. They were the first coins minted by our your country back in 1793. That makes them historically significant. My friends, Mike and Russ educated me on this niche in the world of numismatics and now I'll be on the lookout for early copper! As always, THANKS FOR WATCHING!

Happy Saturday T! Thanks for always bringing such outstanding content! I’ve developed an interest in early coppers in recents months and have picked up several at local coin auctions. Fascinating history that Mike & Russ have shared here. Appreciate your efforts in providing this for us. The Butch & Sundance bit was hysterical! 😆😂🤣

Hi T. It is 250 years later! I love early copper. One of the coins that most impressed my sons is a large cent. They were amazed by it. Have a wonderful weekend, My Friend.
Great video T... hope you'll visit them a lot more in the future!

I love coins. Stacking is great, but there is only so many types of stackable silver versus the thousands of collectible coins. Keep on stacking (coins, that is) 😊
Another really good episode T , wish it were longer and the James Cagney scene was great 😆

I've got some 1830s copper. A 38 cent and a 34 half cent. The half cent was at some time gold plated. Most collectors would one off it as damaged. When I placed it beside my 1834 half eagle [$5 gold] it was obvious the half cent was used as a counterfeit or altered coin designed to steal or conive. When placed in a large sum it may go un noticed untill after transaction complete. Or a new immigrant might be easily taken regardless of the reverse as the obverse is identical and size is almost the same. Further 1834 had a change in gold coin design and sizing further adding possible cover to the crime of passing the altered coin as a higher denomination. As the coin shop fellows said.. not just a lump of corroded copper❤ but a significant part of US history.
I really enjoy the knowledge that these guys share. Keep o it coming

Beautiful!!
Spend some cash , learned some interesting facts ❤
The flowing hair cents are beautiful, but for 3k I would rather buy a new gold St. gaudens, collect what you love. I do love the older Mexican libertads too.

Nope. I started stacking AND collecting at about the same time. I have a small collection of large cents that I came to collect, and they are very cool.

The 1794 Large Cent appears to me to have Very Good details, but is unfortunately corroded in places. “Why is her cap flying off ?” the Silver stacker thinks to himself. 🤔 😲😳😬 🤣😂🤣
