@@3-ij696 what does age have to do with anything. This is vintage Earl. My point is not about Earl’s predisposition right now that he’s 60+, it’s about Earl recurring attitude. If you can’t read or understand your own language, this is on you chief. So defensive! I have watched every Earl’s game that is available and I’m a fan so shame on you for being defensive and so sensitive for no bloody reason.

Jayson was the better player here, but Earl did get some tough rolls (and I know he's had a ton of good rolls over the years), and Earl was sportsman-like at the end of the match (which isn't always the case). Jayson's safety play was a big part of why he won.

No one cares about the game of pool more than earl. And no one is a better person to have in your corner than Shane. I absolutely love these 2 guys. Earl you shot great. It came down to luck at the end of it all and Shaw had more of it that day. And Shaw is a great pot maker. I play a lot like him. Being a great ball potter and having a good stroke sometimes takes away from position and control. But you have to know your strengths as well as weaknesses. Great match and I hope to see more of all of these guys for a while to come

I liked Earl there for the most part. Which usually isn't the case. I thought I was going to watch a match without hearing, "lucky". But, he snuck one in. I feel he has something along of rookies like myself struggle with, which is moving on from mistakes... That 6th rack that Jayson had the break. That spin he was talking about adding bit him in the butt on that scratch. I love Shane. He tried to talk Earl out of the past. But he couldn't shake the mind I feel. I enjoyed watching this one. Jayson climbed out and kept the focus. It would be hard not to rub it in like he did when the crowd was going like they did. I loved it all either way. I didn't catch this match last month.

Well for one, it's a ball, not a game bird like partridge or ptarmigan. Second, it's a push shot which is a choice made by the player up immediately after the break - they can choose to take a shot or 'push', which the other player can then choose to shoot or pass back to the opponent. It's a skill in and of itself.

I have newfound respect for Earl after watching this match. He managed to keep it together, but he is his own worst enemy mind-wise. It didn’t help that Earl kept getting bad rolls, scratching, etc. Without SVB there, he’d have completely fallen apart. I hate the noise level when players are trying to shoot or figuring their next move. That must wreak havoc on a player’s mind. It sure would mess with me.
