@@Tfor2show Your channel is "excellent" and I'll definitely "be back" Earl was as much a part of Terminator series as Arnie, Linda and Michael.....he was in 3 of the movies! His input was INDELIBLE. He had brilliant lines (which I suspect a lot of ad libbing on his part) and in T1 & T2, he went from disbelieving, slightly smarmy police psychologist, to T2 where he went from sinister, false caring, yet cruel doctor to watching a T800 fight orderlies and a T1000 melting through a cage door, thus becoming more believing of Sarah then T3, where he "saw things, strange things" that's one hell of a character arc Big 👍👏 for remembering this brilliant actor I couldn't imagine Dr Silberman played by ANYONE else. He absolutely made that role his. Even his creepy smarmy "hi Sarah" the yawning, the snide commenting, and the gloating when he tells Sarah he will recommend she will spend another 6 months in Pescadero, then the "model citizen"........just that.....

A good friend just sent this to me. Thank you, it was so nice to see, as it seemed Earl's passing went mostly unnoticed. Earl was our friend. He was our golf buddy. He was a great storyteller. About 20 years ago, he had semi-retired to Hawaii. He still occasionally did some voice work. He joined our golf group (not a fancy club - just a group of regular guys) and played every week. He had such interesting stories about his life (the good and bad). He met a wonderful lady in Hawaii and they loved and took great care of each other. ❤❤❤ I think about him often, especially out on the golf course.

Hi, Jon! I'm so glad that you enjoyed this video! Your comment about his passing going largely unnoticed is a big reason why I decided to make this - I just thought he deserved a little more recognition for his long and varied career. While so many people know him only from his work in the Terminator films, I thought it was important to show that he did so much more than that. Also, thank you for sharing some of your memories of him! Reading your comment truly made my day. It makes me so happy to know that Mr. Boen's golf buddies are seeing and enjoying this video. Just so you know, in the future I'll be doing a full episode of my show where we'll be dissecting and discussing Earl's entire career. Would you have any interest in perhaps having a short video chat with me in order to share some of your memories of Earl for the show? I think Earn Boen knew enough TV casting directors that when there was a one-off role for a reliable middle-aged man, Earl Boen was the speed-dial go-to actor, as they knew he could deliver without fuss, didn't care if the pay was low, and show up on short notice. "Hello, Earl, can you be on Seinfeld tomorrow and The Fresh Price the day after tomorrow, and then Family Matters the day after that?" Earl : "Yes."

Yes he did! And an amazing job he did with it, too. I really wanted to include a clip from that in here, but I wanted to keep this video nice and short, and he has SO much amazing material to try and choose from. It was really tough to narrow it down to just a few minutes! BUT... down the road I'll be doing a full episode of the show where we'll discuss his career in depth, along with a deep dissection of the Dr. Silberman character that he played so well! So that will give much us more opportunity to show more clips from throughout his career, and I definitely plan to show some of his work as Benares! I'm really looking forward to putting that together. Thanks for the comment!

Could've used more clips of Lechuck. That was his most recurring character and I'm pretty sure Tales of Monkey Island was his final performance. A string of rapid-fire lines of him in each game he was in (that would be 5) would've emphasized that legacy.

Thanks, man! I'm so glad you liked it. Regarding your question - the reason those clips aren't in here us the same reason that about 100+ of his other performances aren't featured. I just didn't have time. I mean, I guess I had time, but I wanted to keep this nice and short and tight. Quality before quantity, you know? Before I started working on this video, I spent about two months searching for and acquiring as many of Boen's performances as I could get. Ended up with over 225 different movies and TV shows featuring Boen on my computer. Then I trimmed them for his scenes. Then I chopped all of his scenes up and sorted and organized them into a bunch of categories to try and keep it all organized, and then I started working on this video. I could have featured a little something from every single thing he did, but it would have ended up being probably 45 minutes long, and it wouldn't have had as nice of a flow to it, you know? Instead, I wanted to have a nice little assortment of just his best stuff. A showcase of all the things he was really good at. And I wanted the viewer to see that he did all sorts of stuff that most people probably weren't aware of. Anyway, short answer: quality over quantity. 🙂

@chrisvetor Ah, indeed it did! Thank you so much for appreciating that, because I don't think most people would consider that sort of thing. But you're absolutely right.
