The Earfun UBoom L has the firmware update applied in this video. 😉

I like the uboom's sound better, somehow it is more natural and wider sounding to me, can be used for various types of music at lower volumes, not just bass centric ones. Ofc if you want a louder speaker, just go for a bigger one than these 2.

I have two Uboom L and I that play really loud. If you want for example listen a quiet music is really natural and really good

UBoom L for the win! Mega sounds too dark in comparison. I would only listen to it at higher volumes. For low level listening or for more of a detailed listen I'm picking the EarFun!

Yeah, the UBoom L gets even bright at high volume......blindingly bright. 😱

maxsound plus or uboom l?

For this type of speakers.. Besides of enjoying the clear sound of it, I would consider the one with unexpected potential on such a small speaker.. Which is the impressive Bass performance even to the max volume! such as the Tribit mega and the Anker motion plus able to deliver.. 👍

The UBoom L, much like the original UBoom, has the one big flaw where the bass disappears at high volume. I do understand that they do this for a reason, otherwise it would probably be distorted without a limiter. But it still seems to increase treble while decreasing bass. Anyway, no speaker is perfect I guess. ☠️

@@JaysStraightUpReviews Yes i agreed.. That is common to all the bluetooth speakers out there for their lacking bass in max volume.. But at least, Anker motion plus and tribit mega have made me smile with their brave all-out bass potential whereas the Uboom's bass is too shy for the truth!.. haha.. It is a total loss for me to see my device lost the bass battle in this class!.. Lol!

I think anyone can get used to more bass if it's deep bass but that takes bigger drivers. More expensive and less portable. Most bass heavy otherwise is mid and upper bass or 70Hz and above.

Tribit for the win!

the tribit sounds more drowning and unprecise/bloated. the earfun sounds way more balanced

Do more head to head with the medium to small blutooth speakers. Good review.

I have both n i can tell u that the tribit mega blows the uboom L out of the planet. Uboom no real power n bass is basically missing at high volumes. The power from tribit n the way the bass continues to increase at high volumes is just crazy.

Yeah, the UBoom L is a pretty good speaker up until you get to higher volume and max volume. The treble gets a little harsh and the bass is massively reduced. It's just not a good speaker to use at louder volume levels.

It's not bad, but the sound signature deteriorates as you go higher on volume. And it's not a super loud speaker to begin with.

I have both 😊 earfun sounds way better at low volume with nice bass 🎶 tribit sounds better only from medium volume 😊

UBoom L does sound pretty good until you get higher in volume, then the sound signature really changes and bass drops off. The XSound Mega has a much more consistent sound signature and I find the bass just fine at lower volume. I think if you just need a speaker for mid to low volume the UBoom L is a good speaker. I would not take it over the XSound Mega, however.

I'm not sure what you mean by natural sound..I like the fuller sound of the XSound Mega. I haven't had the Earfun for like a year and a half, so whatever firmware it comes with now may be different than what I tried in this video.

For me uboom sound more open, deeper bass , tribit has too much middle bass. For me bt speaker play good to max 70% volume, i dont use it louder because it lose please :p

Maybe the U-Boom L uses an entry level subwoofer whose sound quality is average. Passive radiators are quite stiff and not as flexible as JBL. The internal amplifier and soundcard used are also mediocre, unable to maintain bass frequencies and sound quality at high volumes. It can also be caused if the embedded Bluetooth hardware is not good. Playing music via the AUX cable may be of better quality. I think Oluv is working hard to create a more balanced and accurate tonality of tuning sound with all the limitations of its drivers. Xsound Mega also has its limitations; it can't deliver better high frequencies. The sound tuning of the Mega is not superior to that of the Boom L. But the internal Amp quality and driver is better than the Boom L.

i called that, no problem, and this also includes a subwoofer type, but a mini version. Dedicated to small speakers. The sound quality and vibration sound produced by each driver also vary, depending on the type of internal amplifier and soundcard that are embedded into the motherboard.

You shouldn’t compare based on the volume percentage. It’s useless. Different manufacturers are going to have those set differently. You’re supposed to normalize the sound levels.

The Tribit XSound Mega Price varies, but for Amazon Prime members it's currently $59.99. Current Amazon price on the Earfun UBoom L is $64 after coupon. So if you have Prime the Tribit is actually less $$ than the Earfun. Hope this helps.😉

Earfun never really make good sounding speaker, theres something about their speakers that just too ringy and knocky sounded it never the smoothes sound to listen to compare with the like of JBL, bose, Soundcore, Tribit even Bogasing sound better.

They are okay. They tried this gimmick of having a KZread influencer supposedly tuning the UBoom L, but then immediately after releasing the speaker they had to do a firmware update since it didn't sound so hot. 😮I personally think the XSound Mega, especially now with the custom EQ in their app, smokes the UBoom L, particularly at higher volume levels.
