Harlan Moore (1925 to 2017) started his career at Herman Miller in 1948 running a table saw, and when he retired in 1988 he was Vice President of Manufacturing. In this capacity he worked closely with Charles and Ray Eames. In this excerpt from the Eames Office Oral Histories he talks about "honesty in the use of materials," a hallmark of the Eames approach.
