Whether in Alaska or in the Dolomites, eagles are generally seen as Kings of the skies. This film devotes itself on the one hand to the bald eagle, the heraldic bird of the United States, and on the other, the Golden Eagle, Europe's largest predatory bird. Many bald eagles live in the Chilkoot State Park in Alaska's south. In fact, more than 400 pairs reside there for the entire year. With a wingspan of some 2.5 metres, they are amongst the largest of their species. The offspring have to leave the eyrie by September at the latest, as then, winter sets in.
On clear, starry nights, one can experience the Northern Lights. There are certain places where especially many eagles group. 3000 to 4500 of them. Because, beneath the Chilkat ice blanket, chum salmon feel at home. The reason for this is the volcanic activity of the surrounding areas. Hot sources feed the different tributaries of the Chilkat. It is the fourth and final salmon migration of the year - nowhere else does this take place so late in the year.
This combination of ice-free water and spawning fish facilitates the survival of many young eagles through their first winter. In the Dolomites, we observe a Golden Eagle couple and their offspring. The strategy of hunter and hunted is impressively documented. For the very first time we experience a groundhog's fight for survival, attempting to flee the eagles' eyrie at a height of 2000 meters, despite the fact this means confrontation with the eagle's offspring. Golden Eagles have virtually conquered the entire northern hemisphere. But the future hunting grounds of the young eagles belongs to the most beautiful: the Dolomites - as majestic as the Kings of the skies.

Always remember we must repent of our sins (sin is transgression The Law Of Yahuah The Father in Heaven. The Law are The Books: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, & Deuteronomy). The Bald Eagle is my favorite. However, the Golden Eagle, IMO, is the prettiest….so colorful!
Should get an award for this masterpiece..great background score,voicing is perfect.
The plucked Marmot and baby Eagle scene was unexpected but wow, beautiful job by the videographer!

The beauty and power of eagles blows my mind
Wow! what a sight that must have been, the baby eagle meets an intruder. For a moment at first I was wandering what was gonna happen there. Now that's something you probably don't see every day.

Hollywood doesn’t agree with you. Most movies use the call of the Red-tailed hawk, even when the bird shown is an eagle.

saw 2 bald eagles a couple weekends ago on Dauphin Island in Mobile Bay. majestic. very very majestic.

Finally a quality documentary about freedom
This is just as dope as that video where France trained four eagles to take down drones (posing a security risk to the palace) and even named them after the Musketeers: D'Artagnan, Athos, Porthos, and Aramis.

🦅🦅🦅 *In the last couple of months, I probably taken close to 10 thousand photos and hours and hours of videos of our local pair of bald eagles and it's single fledgling* 🦅🦅🦅
Am not gonna lie I learnt something new about every animals when I watch these videos thanks so much so 😎

The most unpleasant scene in the film is the encounter between the wounded marmot and eagle chick (22:35). Marmot sees the creature by whom it will be eaten. It is not a huge monster, but it is the baby of an eagle. Marmot might kill this eaglet but didn't. And the scariest thing the marmot can realize is that there is nowhere to escape from this rock. The only thing he may do is to wait for the mother of this chick. Harrowing scene.
This is the best scene ever recorded, because I like the eagle They deserve respect and protection to these magnificent eagles

I've lived in Nj for most of my life, Nj isn't necessarily known for it's wildlife!!! Growing up in the 70's Bald eagles had become almost non-existent in our state...due to the use of DDT. It was banned in the early 80's....today I see Bald eagles frequently, they have come back to this state.

This documentary made me know something new about eagles, that they don't get to have that white head and yellow beak until they're 6 years old.. wow
The bald Eagles even respected each other while fighting over the last fish.

I love animals more than stranger humans.
There was one in a habitat at Denver zoo many years ago, and omg what she beautiful. Like the narrator said, a majestic animal. They are bigger than you think. Not an animal to fudge around with.
