    Huge disrespect for the Cadinals players. The "talent gap" between the players on the Philly roster and those on the Arizona roster may not be as wide as the media want us to believe. Aren't they all top athletes, who spent the last 10 to 20 years refining their playing and understanding of football ? Aren't they all lifting weights, running, practicing day-in, day-out, and repping over the same schemes and variations? Aren't they all, in terms of "talent", except for the odd freak of nature such as Tyreek Hill, just as good as one another ?

    Hearing 3 former PLAYERS say we know the screen is coming on 3rd & long. Then follow that with it’s on the COACHES to know the screen is coming instead of holding the PLAYERS just as accountable for not being prepared for the possibility of the screen is comical. Hold the ones you like to the same accountability as those you don’t like. The Eagles PLAYERS just aren’t bringing it this season.

    Acho hit the nail on the head. The Eagles were just as predictable last year. They just executed at a high level.

  • @work4peace61
    @work4peace615 ай бұрын

    The difference between the Eagles of last year compared to this year is that they controlled the line of scrimmage on offense and defense. Since they can't do it this year they must be more creative on offense with quick throws and motion the RB and WRs in play action and run sweeps off the edge. On defense they need to use Hasson Riddick as a spy who lines up on the left or ride side to drop back in coverage on throws or blitz when necessary for added pressure on the QB. So I'm talking about a 3-4-4 defensive scheme. 3 DLs and 4 LBs (one who rushes the QB and falls back in coverage), and 2CBs and 2 Safeties. A blitz package can include one of the safeties or another LB (in addition to Riddick) or both totaling 6 defensive players rushing the QB.

    Jalen Hurts is not a pocket passer and might not ever be, but he needs a run game for play action pass and to stay ahead of the sticks.

    The answer can be demonstrated clearly by the Seahawks v Patriots Superbowl. One boneheaded play for the Patriots had prepared the entire week before the game lost the game for the Seahawks. That was the coach all the way. Everybody in the stadium expected a Beast mode blast to move the Seahawks ahead and probably to a win. Everyone except coach Bellicek who studied the Seahawks and expected and drilled his team for just the play that ended the Seahawks budding dynasty. The Patriots defense drilled against just that play countless times before the game. Therefore, they were prepared by a better coach and executed the coup degrade. Football like chess is offense supported by a dominant defense all directed by the better grand strategy which comes from the coach.

    Oh how the chickens have come to roost. The Eagles have been struggling all year and I had the balls to say it. They don’t look the same. Last year Jalen Hurts was scoring as much as he is now 23 passing touchdowns and 15 rushing touchdowns compared to last years 22 and 13. He even has 100 more yards than he had last year passing and only behind by 10 rushing yards. It looks like he improved. But he’s thrown 8 more picks this year than he did last year. And the five fumbles he had last year was always recovered by the eagles. This year he’s fumbled 6 times and lost 4 of them. The eagles rarely made mistakes and this year it’s more frequent. Yes they string together game winning drives but that’s not always gonna be the case.

    I think it’s one and the same as far as the Identity debate, what you do consistently good is that teams identity, if your a giants fan or even watched the giants last year our identity was running the ball, either with Saquon or Even DJ. All the teams knew that Saquon was getting the rock or in play action DJ could take off with his legs and we did that consistently well. The eagles this years haven’t looked consistent or they don’t have something they do consistently well which is why they have no identity this year.
