    Another great video. I really enjoy your bumper music. My Grapple is my favorite attachment. I agree that tight closure is a key point to consider. Pulling small stuff is definitely an issue if your grapple doesn’t close tightly. My grapple is made of chineseium steel. Im sure I will need to replace in a year or two. Will definitely look at the EA to replace it. Thanks again for a great video.

    Thank you for the kind words! I’ve learned that I definitely prefer the clamshell for those reasons. Hey if it works, then it works - I try to buy USA when I can but sometimes the economics and logistics just don’t work out. Not to mention availability. That said, I definitely recommend the EA grapples!

Specific information, like weight, dimensions, material quality, design details and user friendliness on both grapples! Well done. Nice job on the video and showing how to clear your property, Ive been clearing land off and on for over 45 years I like your style. Bending a tree to twist the stump up can be dangerous like the gentleman stated previously, but I think when you have run your equipment enough to get the FEEL of it, then I believe you can feel the amount of force on the tree you're applying and sense its breaking point using some good old fashioned common sense. Definitely advising all to be careful and aware. Death can approach from out of anywhere, such as pulling vines and knocking the top out of a dead tree etc. so always look your area over well for widow makers, etc. before you begin, along with other hazards. I just subscribed also, I have a new 73 hp Cabbed Power Shuttle Kioti on the way as we speak. A semi retirement present to myself, lol. Planning on putting in a few cattle myself. Again nice job on everything, good luck on your channel and God bless you and your family.

    Sometimes we have to use what we have and make it work lol. But yes you are correct. When operate equipment and machinery you get a feel for it and in many ways becomes second nature. But accidents can still happen. Just have to be as careful as possible but still get work done. The dead trees are the ones to look out for. They don’t call them widow-makers for no reason.

    I felt the same way. There just wasn’t many vids out there with a utility sized tractor. Most of the tougher grapples are designed for skid steers and are pretty heavy. I’m really happy with the EA 66” on this tractor!

    I'm pretty new to tractors, but I've looked at a lot of grapples, and ended up with a Homestead Pinnacle Root Grapple. It's clearly beautifully constructed. But if it was stolen, I might replace it with an EA Attachements Wicked. They do seem to be the most wicked grapples available. I will say though, my Homestead is doing just fine (I can't push over trees with my 25 hp tractor, but can still pick up hella brush)

  • @arrowjmfarms

    @arrowjmfarms

    Жыл бұрын

    I did look at the Homesteads also. There was a few videos where a guy had bent one up. That happens - but from what I’ve read they use any excuse they can not to have to honor their warranty. Hopefully you never have to test the warranty. Should work out with the 25hp tractor.

    I love the content of your video. Brush clearing and brush control was once the source of my livelihood. However, about 2 minutes or so into this video, you pushed over a substantially sized tree, then you pushed on the tree from the side while the stump was still rather securely still in the ground. As you pushed on the tree, I could see the tension and potential recoil building. If the top had broken out of that tree, the results could have been catastrophic. No ROPS on any tractor could protect you from the resulting impact. You are much too young and have too much to live for to be taking chances like that. Please, exercise caution, enjoy life, and live it to the fullest. Keep up the good work, and keep the quality content coming. God bless you.

    It can be hard on it for sure! Just depends on what you’re doing. So far mine has held up and I do things I shouldn’t lol. The worst thing to do is trying to dig up trees and stumps. Pushing brush and briars doesn’t put much stress on it. It plows through them pretty easy. And making brush piles shouldn’t cause any issues either. Sometimes you just have to take it slow and remember it’s not a bulldozer - easier said than done haha.

    I’ve always kind of wanted that. If this grapple had a double lid option I would have got that. They do have a dual lid long bottom grapple but I prefer the shorter rake teeth this grapple has.
