Same thing happened with the icon Evo, people that had an icon red, could not Evo them because they were not base icon card type anymore... this sucks but also that is why is better to red players that are almost imposible to Evo or at least long ways to Evo them, like Eusebio, Mbappe, etc.. There is that risk with lower rated cards

Also, even if you didn’t make him red, you cannot Evo the same player twice. I don’t know if that applies to them having diff card type, but that’s how it works for golds.

you can definitely evo cards twice. That's why you have these huge chains getting bronzes up to like 90 rated.

EA did you dirty this time! I thankfully haven't made any of my cards RED because this is something of a speculation i noted long back but is now confirmed. I can now evolve the greatest ACUNA to 89 with 4 4

i get your point, but the red skin is rare item not related to any promo. if you choose to turn your players into a red IF card its on you. otherwise there is no point of having a red skin into the game@@aliahmad-bd8dm

This is another reason why ea need to bring back card exchanges between players. There are loads of these acuna cards just sitting in people's accounts. I have one myself that ive never used. And really cba to play 14 games to get it a plus 1. Id love to exchange it for something i would use in my team.
