The issue with icon and hero picks is they always contain 1 promo nobody cares for. The hero pick wouldn't be so bad if it didn't include Fantasy FC cards. There are some nice Golazo heroes in general but also some that can fit nicely into active evos. FFC not so much, all of the ones you'd likely get are fodder for 89 exchanges or 90 rated fodder for a 90 squad in an SBC. As for icons there isn't any make your mark icons, this would've been a good time for a Future Stars Icons like side promo.

I'm still using Dinho's base after doing his SBC. His chemistry ties everything together, and he's still him.

I’ve recorded 10 min videos with no cuts. It’s really hard. Even after practice. You do nearly 30 min videos with no cuts. EVERY NIGHT for weeks on end. Give yourself credit, I may not agree with everything you say as far as ea is concerned. But you’re consistent and have genuine dedication to this game. So I still support you. Ps. The icon and hero situation about keeping up with the power curve has not been rolled out well by EA for sure 100%. I feel the main reason is not including these players in certain promos throughout the year. Icons didn't get cards for Champions League success, the Etoo is a perfect example. The TOTY icon squad should have included a bench for a total of 18. There are NO heroes or icons for TOTS. These should have been the 1st 4 play style plus items in the game. EA need to stop only using the meta icons in all the other promos and include more of the lesser icons either as objective cards, sbcs or play to obtain items. The final way to make icons better was through evos and not waiting forever to give them upgrades.

Not only in quality. its also a step down in terms of pack weight. if someone who saved 85x5 for make your mark promo out of dozen of these gets ONLY 3 mym cards 2 of which are dupes then theres sometthing fishy about pack weight

Gotta say, they should put in more evos for the icons to keep up with the power curve

For me, an idea to keep the icons relevant and in line with the power curve is to release paid evos, specifically for icons that offer a small stat boost and playstyle upgrade for a significant coin price. Ive onoy recently dropped my base pele to the bench. Id be more than happy to pay 500k for an additional playstyle or 2 and a +1 or +2 overall stat upgrade. EA missing a trick with this. They usually love an oppeetunity ro drain coins from people. This would be something they could really take advantage of.

Any SBC without 4PS+ (or clear path to it) is then a no from me

Tbh this year I like the fact that icons are only a fraction of the majority of teams you face. It got quite ridiculous seeing 80 to 90 icon teams in the past because they were the most meta. This years game has been refreshing in that regard and the team variety as well. I hope EA keep the icon content like this as the campaign icons are better than the old prime, moments etc where there was really no surprises as each and every icon got a separate version which was boring…agreed that Eto’o needs a card tho

@nickymaguire5312 I played one person who was doing the objective. Everyone was just using their best team, trying to get easy wins. It is one of the hardest champs in ages, not putting myself through that again. I ended with 11 wins and missed the Enzo by 1 win.

My take on the icon/heroes situation: • The problem isn't the amount of the "Campaign" icons that have released. The reason that Icons don’t get in peoples team is that the Power Curve this year was way too high and that’s a bad thing for the longevity of the game. For next game they should slow down significally the power curve (for example meta gold cards should be viable until January-February), Less Promos (maybe 1 week per month we get no promos). Also the gameplay is at its best at the start of the cycle. End game cards brake the game engine and most people at that point are grinding the menus, instead of playing the actual game. • They didnt released the base icons. For the most icons they released the mid version. Personally i still use 6-7 icons on my main squad and i have lots of icon only squads. Finally for me the best way to enjoy this game is to try to build as many squads as possible and create teams with your favorite players and try to upgrade them. If you approach the game as a stock market/casino simulator or by always chasing the meta cards, it's 100% certain that you will get bored really fast.

86 was a great call.
