As I've gotten older and learned more, my connection to this country has defintjely changed. I don't love this place and don't take a sense of pride from an American identty. At the same time, I do acknowledge the massive benefits and power that comes from living here, and I work hard, pay taxes, and live as a productive citizen because of those benefits. It's a transactional agreement, not patriotism. And if the USA plays sports against any Muslim country, I'm rooting for the Muslims.

Subhanallah I am enjoying this podcast so much. Very insightful and real. I am born and raised Muslim here in the states. I understand and can relate to feelings they expressed somethings
