E36 Rear Main Seal with Tool Dimensions

Replacing a rear main seal on my s52 with the bmw tool. I’m the video I was a little unclear about the tangential cut that is needed in the tool. This cut should be tangential with the 110 mm part of the tool.
Link to the tool I used:

Didn’t include in the video but if you did not receive the plastic sleeve that holds the seal out of the way until you slide it of the diameter of the sleeve is 90 mm. This will hold the flaps of the seal to the right shape for easy installation. The alternative is to go around the seal and push the seals flaps up over the crank mating surface which might work fine but I didn’t want to risk ripping the seal during installation.
I really hope this helps and ask questions if you have them!

Turned out great! No leaks, underside of engine and tranny are really clean after about 1500 miles
