That pajero is just charming, something only tamiya can pull off!

Nice job with the MT12 jumps. It lands nice and handles corners quite well. Super looking van.

Yeah need to jump them , especially being big wheel trucks the AE only has a 380 brushed motor , the pajero has a 540 torque tuned with a very small 10t pinion so it made top end similar between the two especially on grass . All good fun ;)

It all depends on your preferance, at that point. I'm a big Tamiya fan, but I have 2 CW-01 chassis vehicles, so I would probably get the MT12 just for something different.

I might be sold on the mt12. That looks like a lot of fun. The low top speed seems like a pretty easy thing to fix with a hotter motor

Both good fun, and that's how it should be. I prefer the pajero, maybe fit it with bigger tyres 😇😊

Totally right ! Fun is what it’s all about! I think I’m in the same camp as you the Tamiya us more fun in the end , however both were fun in the head to head

On the monster van can you put on a larger pinion gear to increase the top speed anything or is it one size only ? Or maybe putting in a sensored brushless system would do it better.

You could definitely put in a brushless system, however I’m not sure on pinion gear sizes they might be adjustable , I’ve not looked at the motor mount ;)

Interesting head to head Andy. No lunchbox? I was figuring a lunchbox with its stock chevrons and stock set up would be more comparable. Not that I don’t appreciate seeing these two go toe to toe. The wheels and tires on the Pajero look smaller than what would come on a lunchbox. Please,I still enjoyed! Just wondering why?

To answer your question I don’t own a lunchbox and I bought a pajero to review , but if you swap the body and tyres its a lunchbox , I just wasn’t prepared to go buy another body shell and tyres etc it wouldn’t have made to much of a difference in the end , and it was just a bit of fun, to me it didn’t matter if it was modified compared to the monster van as the monster van chassis is leaps and bounds better than a cw01.
