These things are rare especially the coupe got a IS kit get in runningand roadworthy and just keep it i guess looks like a good clone its still a classic

Misrepresentation for sure on sellers side, whether intentional or negligent misrepresentation, buyer should have a winning case. Look up the laws on misrepresentation in sale or contract. On the build side of things, a regular two-door plastic bumper is still a rare find. They also aren't cheap. Regardless of it being an iS or not, I think he should give you freedom to build his dream e30. There's more to an iS than just the vin, you can build it identical or even better than an iS for him. It would still be worth a lot. Obviously not millions like an evolution or shadowline, but it would still be worth a pretty penny in my opinion. If this had happened to me, I'd hope to get reimbursed the majority of cost by seller, lawfully and put that same money into making this a beautiful example of a plastic two door. Still an amazingly beautiful e30, it still has our love and respect

With how rapid this market has shot up, there was bound to be such characters ruining the market even further. I went to see a corolla and the deal was concluded. I requested to see papers before we exchanged money and they didnt correspond with the car. Almost got bitten too. Be vigilant folks.

Might be a 325i, hoping it's indeed a plastic bumper model, besides paying 500k for it, and having to spend more money on it, it's not too bad at the end of the day the owner will get his enjoyment from it, atleast he can drive the crap out of it, so salvageable

I see this really frustrated you, however truth be told this might be a niche market that you guys should embrace. I personally do not see value in a genuine IS because of the price they demand, only being that I can purchase a 2door body 318 and build a professionally done IS replica by the proper people (RATICAL INC) and simply because the vehicle will be built to scratch a child hood itch and not wanting to win any show shine awards at BMW Classics. so with a budget of ZAR200-250K and a clean 2body base I trust a very good, reliable and head turner IS replica can be built. don't even mind having a sticker to say ''IS REPLICA''

Thanks for the heads up, as far as the fraudulent practices around these cars. But the footage blacks out at the 15min to the 21min mark. I’m guessing that has to do with the litigation surrounding the car
