The Triumph will always hold a special place in my memories. Back when it was the newest Kyosho 2WD to market it really seemed a step away from the Ultima series to me. Glad to see you end up with such a fine example Ari. Thank you for all your efforts my friend.

Sad you got scammed mate. I've promised myself that I'll get my Triumph ready to race for our vintage race in September here in Australia so hopefully I'll get some footage of it running. Cheers

Thanks and I'd love to see some footage of it in action. You have some time before September to get it ready... However, before you know it, September will be here... get on it...

Great idea putting the decals on the wing sides before putting them on the wing. Much easier to line them up with each side. Going to steal that idea.

Some guys would cut the nose off the body and leave it on the car (with velcro or double-sided tape), so when you mount the body, it looks like it is all there but the nose stays when you take off the shell. There would be a seam there...maybe a sacrificial body to leave some extra material for some overlap. Anyway, something to consider.

Ohh man what a beauty the Triumph is, turned out real nice. I will probably paint up and decal my Dirt Master as a Triumph, thats probably the closest i will get to one.

Thanks for the comment. Initially when the dirt master came out, I felt like it looked kind of like a Triumph. I think it will look great.. and its probably your best bet... and don't have to worry about any brittle parts breaking.

Buying and selling anything these days online without PP is tough to trust. Touch wood I have been scammer-free here in Australia, but many others arent so lucky. Def PP or cash up front is best option if its an option. The Triumph certainly not a cheap kit - so it is good you got some Elf-Help... Just finished building my Schumacher Storm ST while watching this video haha...

1st of all, im sorry to hear about you getting scammed. I still regret not bidding more on that Triumph (and that Blackfoot lot), but at least they went to someone who will take care of them. I appreciate the high quality content-- This way I can live vicariously 👍👍

Sorry to see you get scammed. It does happen. It's odd, I have several Ultima's on either side chronologically to the Triumph. I just never heard much about the Triumph or wanted to get one. Looking forward to seeing one go.

Thanks. So when I put another triumph vid out, it will be a rebuild video of the used one. Basically cleaning it up, maintenance and getting it ready to run. Eventually I'll do a running video where I go into more detail about all its features. I hope kyosho rereleases more Ultimas especially the Turbo ultima or the Turbo Ultima 2. Love those silver and neon green wheels.

For the nose cone of the bodyshell (for the reproduction one or a future reproduction shell with this issue.) You can probably have it cut off still, but attach it with some velcro to the chassis around there so it's stuck in place still to complete the look it should be a good compromise i think.

Although I’m not in the same scammed boat I’m going through an issue with buyee on a bunch of vintage nib kits I was expecting…have now had to get PayPal involved. Bummed because I wanted to start doing some vintage builds to start building my channel out as well. Killer build btw, I’ve always liked the Triumph

The one the the auction looks amazing Ari! Well done on making it look perfect! The runner one is in really good shape and will look super great out running around acting as the stunt double for the other! Sucks you got scammed, I am glad you got some of the money back though. Looking forward to the rebuild video and seeing the new old one looking new again!

Hey Addam, Thanks for the comment. I'm just about done with the rebuild of the second Triumph... now for the video editing... but I'm going away for a few days so thats not going to happen.. lol... Also there are a few other projects I'd like to get done with before I put out the follow up video on the triumph... I feel like too much of one thing... and people get bored with content....

@@RCRetro I purchased one, when they first came out, and raced it. The front arms are really thin, especially where the shocks mount to it, and the drive belts wore out fast. The good thing was, the front arms were interchangeable from left and right. Also, the lightest from collision would break the top chassis plate. I ended up making my own front arms and top plate out of fiberglass. The ball diff was amazing though.

Nice looking car I probably do one up with the 'triumph" band logo I mean the musical group triumph. Also I think when using PayPal you do regular PayPal not friends and family I got scammed once when somebody requested that style of paying. As for their bodies most of the old Kyosho's or a pain in the ass to cut out and fit around shock towers and such Don't get me wrong I love them but they are a pain to cut out especially those little rectangular holes for the body mounts like on the javelin or optima I usually use a hot regular screwdriver for those 😄

Way too many scammers on Facebook right now. Obvious to spot in wanted posts as they just post a "pm me" message in replies. Always worth checking their group profile to see if they have actually posted anything.
