This would be the perfect time to drop down the lighting installation and add insulation with some ventilation. You know, if there's a 2" air gap between the roof skin and the secondary water brake, it keeps the structure cool and dry. But if you simply spray some foam and glue the metal skin into the wooden structure with it, everything rots with mold and termites. And the smell.. When the roof stops breathing, the floor starts to smell. And that stink doesn't go away with a fan. No matter how massive or No.1 that fan is.

This may already be completed, but if you haven't reattached the tracks, make them hug the underside of the roof. Even if you have to pay a garage door tech to help make it all work, it's worth it. Also, you have a platform upon which you could install a gantry crane. Even if you just use that doubled-up tall strut channel attached to the ties, you could run two tracks down the length of the shop, and build a square frame that can ride in those tracks, itself acting as a tracks for a crossbar that could adjust front to back that eight feet.

Another option you missed would have been to just move the rafter ties up. A couple 2x4s on either side of the rafter beams about 18" down from the peak, bolted and glued, will keep the roof from sagging. It's not a good idea for a roof that gets a heavy snow load, but Houston doesn't get all that much snow, right?

Omg I can’t wait for 9 months to pass too see the next one! Love you Ronny!
Everyday Ronald Finger uploads is a good day
I need to get on this myself. My Dad left me a huge shop when he died. Lots of potential but the place is borderline falling apart, thanks for the inspiration!
These videos are the best! Can't wait to see how you fix your garage door "problem".
keep it up ronald hand sausage
Kudos on all the hard work to get the beam up and braces up. Loved the simulator 😅
Top notch editing and creativity, as usual! Great video
16:20 my biggest props for doing that! It looks so, so much better. I would have done the same and I'm glad there are people thinking the same way, even its not for any structual needs
I found this channel today and I love it! I love the reality DIY. Using harbor freight power tools. Not expensive muiwaukee. Keep up the great work man! You earned my subscribe.
I had that same problem with the roll up door on my shop. I ended up installing the folding glass doors because whatever roll up solution I tried just warped under the weight of the door.
Video game was so worth it. :D
Roland. I did something similar and added a high lift kit to garage door. It effectively allows it to be close to roof line when open and not horizontal. It allows door to be opened and closed with car on a lift. I found great supplier on the googles.
I was feeling a bit flat today but this video has cheered me right up, you are a blessing my man ❤.
Ronald I do things like this alone but this was incredible.. The Reagan quote was epic hilarious. You could have rented or borrowed a scaffold. It came out beautiful.
I saw the ending foreshadowed at the moment you took the top rails down for the garage doors. I did enjoy the simulator portion of the video, always doing something odd with the photography...reminded me of portal. Good job.
The amount of work that went into this small peace of entertainment... God I've missed you...
Your perseverance to complete large-scale projects with no built-in deadlines, adapting to unforeseen obstacles along the way, is inspiring af. BTW: When is FWS23 making it to Steam?
great video! Couple of comments... If you're going to spend that much on materials, also go get a taller ladder. Trust me you're going to need it in the future. Its a lot easier if you have a hammer drill or hammer drill setting on your driver when going into concrete.
This is quality content! Love it!
Thank you for bringing us along on your journeys.
Damn that Fingerprints workshop simulator looks scary AF
It’s always a great day when you upload a video my dude, keep it going, you’re great!
I plan to get overhead roll up doors too. Excited to see what you go with!
I genuinely get excited now Everytime a new video is posted. Keep it up!
Man you are really making that old garage work for you. Nice work
Did not see Fingerprints Workshop Simulator coming. That was great! When will it be on Steam? 🤣
So good! That garage is coming along so well!! Can’t wait till you can work on cars and things in there!!! Thank you
Great Job and with the humor in it this was so much fun to watch !!!
God bless, this is easily one of the best video edits I've ever seen. From one Texan automotive KZread creator to another, well done!!
Top tier entertainment. You always find a way to make a true example of "you can do anything you put your mind to". Hats off to you also for having the patience and determination to sit through so much footage and edit it. On top of making a game... In just two short months you've accomplished more than some will in a lifetime. Keep it up!
Hi Ronald I really love your video's and desperately waiting for the next one. The Fiero resto was an epic journey where you show off your skills and knowledge while educating, well, the rest of the world accompanied with some fun skits. Even though I'm not a motorbike fan truly loved that series too, and yes would have loved to see a full resto on that one too. There is just something really satisfying watching you makes all the parts look brand new. The garage reno is amazing and very happy you have your own place now where you get to build and reno things you like. Please upload more video's, we love it! Cheers from Australia
never stop making videos, every video is so creative ive been watching since the beginning if the fiero, 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Splendid production, as always. Love this channel.
I cannot express how much I enjoyed the construction to video game to psychological thriller to construction transition. Absolutely incredible!
Ront what a great piece of work! You are clearly brilliant and driven! Great video! Thanks!
Fellow houstonian here, definitely get you a mini split or two in that garage once you are getting close to done. It has been a life changer for working in the garage in this heat lol
This guy is amazing in so many ways. Getting home tired and finding a notification for a new video on this channel is always a very good feeling.
you're a genius with the video game sketch and everything! definitively deserves more subscribers!
love that you show the endless screwups and broken screws and challenges along the way. even if you plan everything out ahead of time, you still have to redo the entire plan at least twice.
You get more and more creative with your story telling. Well done!
Love the 80s music in the background Ronnie!!!!
You sir, are one of KZread's treasures. I admire how much you can make happen and wish to be half as good as you in editing and creating. I could watch you for days. When is the netflix series coming out hahaha
Somehow, you keep topping yourself. Each video is better than the last. Best editing so far too.
Had been eagerly waiting for this video as I'm very interested in this project. You did not disappoint my friend!! That was so much fun to watch. Can't wait for the next one.
Thank you for being my DIY inspiration. Cant wait to see more on the garage renovation!
Man, that 1:20 monologue and those faces you were making, I burst out laughing, pure gold. God bless you Ronald.
I've watched you while you were restoring the Fiero and I must say I've enjoyed you greatly. Am an old fart with way too much time on my hands so you've filled many a day watching your progress. I previously watched you on my computer but now am watching on a streaming device which does not allow for comments, that being the case, after watching you on the EXPANDING my workshop I closed down my streamer and jumped on my computer (I think dust literally flew off the fan) to come here and tell you just how much I enjoy you today on this installment...I laughed so much and waqnted to come tell you just how much, Thank You for being you and doing what you do...U Da Bestest ...
From one Ronald to another, and from someone that makes YT videos as a career you knocked this out of the park dude. Your delivery, jokes, setup, everything. Great job.
I stumbled across your Fiero series somewhere towards the beginning of it, and seeing how your channel has evolved is amazing. People like you have inspired me to not only work for myself, but also not to pigeonhole myself into one type of work. In the past two years, I have become completely self-employed doing whatever projects I find enticing. My hobbies have quite literally become my career
Amazing editing as usual! Really liked the terminator part.
Your editing and humour just keep getting better and better. Love the work ethic and determination too. Well done!
Great friggin work dude. Your videos are worth the wait 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Epic! Just knock structural bits out, no messing. Love it.
Even after all these years you continue to amaze me.... love it!!!
Terminator reference with the nail gun????
Ronnie, these little horror moments you're sneaking in are GREAT!
WOW!! That. Is. Amazing. Really, your videos are simply incredible, super funny and every single thing is so well thought!!!! Congrats, keep up the amazing work!!
Every video has been straight gold. Thanks man!!
Babe wake up Ronald finger posted
I've never watched a video on this channel before, but the added clip of the videogame made me instantly subscribe.
Dude. Nobody has any business being this talented!
Very cool mate. Love the 3D modelling segway. Wish I had space like you do but I'll just keep on with small improvements in my shop without good headroom. G'day from Australia
Entertaining, impressive and informative as always. Now I'm waiting for videos of the Z build. If it is anything like the Fiero build this will be SWEET. The Z is one of my favorite cars
I wish I was friends with this dude, cause I feel like I could just come over and find him making some wild shit possible! Always awesome videos, please keep it up! Cant wait for the next!
Creative garage doors 101. Follow the roof line with your tracks. Add a torsion spring Liftmaster sells garage door openers that drive the axle on the torsion spring. And lifts the door with a cable.
Did i get a hint of Terminator theme at 10:15? Touche Sir.
Please don’t make us wait so long for part 3 😢
I can't tell you how much I love your videos. Your comedy is perfect, thank you soo much for continuing to make these! I could watch you do absolutely anything and it would be entertaining. 🤣🤣
easily the best diy video i've come across. instant subscription
Dude.....please come back. Best channel on YT
Dude - far and away my fav youtuber. Never change. Love your work!
Love that Terminator 2 edit with the nail gun. Always full of hidden gems 😎
Thanks, now I tricked my brain to feel satisfied as if I actually improved my own space! 17 minutes and I didn’t even have to lift my butt off the couch.
Hilarious. And nice work
Love every video you're making, keep it up!
Normally I'd have no interest in watching someone restore and old garage......but you make it informative and highly entertaining. Good work, Sir!
Are you going to publish the game somewhere so that we too can avoid manual labor?
As always Ronald, LOVED your video bud!!! I enjoy yours more than any of the other stuff I watch on KZread. Its that sense of accomplishment that I see in your videos that makes me so glad I subbed your channel!!! *Thumbs Up*👍 Can't wait to see your Garage Door Fix in the next one!!!! lol
Wow. The production value on this is amazing. You also have so many skills! You got yourself a new subscriber.
The only channel I'll stay up until 2:30 am to binge watch. Amazing content as always 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Really great video. And very inspiring as a young home owner myself.
I hope at some point your channel will become profitable enough to do full time. You make all tasks entertaining while injecting humor. I also appreciate how you sweat all the little details. It's just the sort of thing I would do if only I wasn't so lazy.
