You probably cooked it because you're supposed to flip the breaker switch before you unplug or charge the battery. Especially when plugging the battery back in. Which you didn't do when showing us the connector.

I have a 2024 sur ron lite bee x. When charging, I have breaker switch to the left position (off?) When charging is complete, I flip the switch back to the right side position ('on'). As this is my first e-vehicle, I assume this is correct, have not tried charging in the 'on' position tho. Any thoughts appreciated & thanks in advance 🚲

I think it's always a good idea to follow the manufacturers recommendations when it comes to charging or removing the battery. After all, they know their product better than anyone else, including some of these wannabe KZread personalities. So yes. Switch off for charging and removal. Switch on after charging complete and, or after battery reinstalled and connected.
