The photos was taken already 5 years ago in Kyiv by a promising Ukrainian photographer and my friend Vitalina Makorevych. At that time I just started transitioning from a “bass” to a baritone rep slowly and wouldn't lie - it seemed like I would never get there and for sure will never be able to sing something like this stunning and one of my favourite aria. I thought that this is literally impossible for me. And of course I couldn't even imagine that after a year or two I would be taken to a Young Artist Program in Valencia, Spain and then move to Germany. Somehow God made it possible for me, which I'm forever grateful for and looking forward to more things to come...)
This recording was made on an audition. Probably every artist won't let me lie that singing an audition is such a different story, than just in class or even a show. When you have to sing in front of the people, who literally heard hundreds and thousands of singers. But here we go - this is now one of my audition arias and I looooove every time when I'm being asked to sing this beautiful piece of music.
Hopefully you'll enjoy it too, even though its not perfect at all.
