    Thanks for the update, Chris! Unfortunately I’m not in a position to become a Patreon supporter at the moment, so I’ll let those who can make suggestions. However, I would just like to add how much I’ve been enjoying PYE recently. It’s a nice splash of colour in the pool of black-and-white photos often used when covering lost loco classes. Keep up the good work, however frequent or infrequent that may be!

    Hey Chris Late, i know, but whatever. I would just like to say that you have for a long time been my favorite KZreadr (and you still are), and you were among the things that inspired me to start this weird thing of content creation. Sorry to hear about your illness, but it's good to see that you recovered from that, and is still pushing forward with your content. I admire such dedication to your craft. Congratulations on your milestone, and one of your videoes reaching 1 million views (I know it was a short, but it's still something). Can't wait to see what you bring out moving forward (Also, wouldn't it be cool if your content was on Nebula?)

    Thankyou for continuing to tune in. I can't imagine what it is that makes me anyone's favourite KZreadr, but I'll keep on as best as I can despite hardships. I just wish YT's ad revenue paid better and protected more, that way I wouldn't need to resort to physical media and paywalls in order to make back the costs of production. Yes, it would be nice. But sadly, Nebula calls the creator just like any other platform.

    Nobody can stay at the top indefnitely, as there is always someone else climbing the slippery pole! With regard to patreons, if I were to give £1 to every channel I'm subscribed to, I'd be paying out about twice my income, which obviously is not a good idea! What used to be a niche market has now expanded to such an extent that it becomes prohibitively expensive to keep buying the DVD's that are on offer - and from what I've read, disks are on the way out anyway, as it seems the majority of viewers prefer to download from the web, thus avoiding all the bulk and weight of bits of circular plastic, in the same way that magazines are falling out of favour. Keep popping in to the Monday Club when you can. Regards.

    It is a real shame that KZread ad revenue is only sustaining for the biggest of creators. I just signed up for your Patron, and I can't really think of anything that would be a good bonus, because any bonus would take away from the rest of your work, and you are clearly overworked as is. The only other Patreon I am a part of is Tumblar House, which is a Book Store that does a weekly podcast called Off the Menu. If you are a member of said Patreon you get free shipping, but I am not sure if the logistics of free shipping on books apply to DVDs. Also, since Off the Menu is a show that is question-based Paterons' questions get preference over non Paterons. If you ever started doing regular Q&As, maybe that could be a bonus.

    If you put more effort into youtube, you'd find it generates more income. I've unsubscribed because this is extrmeley poor. DVD is out of date and old, and you say that the cost of living crisis is affecting you, and then ask for more money of people who are also affected by it. Its hypocritical and unfair.

  • @coffeeee90

    @coffeeee90

    Sorry but are you for real? No, Chris does not need to put more effort it, he does more than enough, the KZread ad revenue is absolutely pitiful and he's not the only creator to point out how abysmal it is. If DVDs are so abysmal and out of date how come people keep buying them? Simple supply and demand. If the demand is there, so will the supply. Chris simply has his dvds, digital downloads and the pateron for ways to keep himself a float, he needs to make a living somehow. He's not a free for all charity. If people simply want to watch the KZread channel. Then that's fine. But Chris still needs an income, and as he and several others have stated the ad revenue alone just isn't enough

    Why, my assumptions were wrong! Thank you for informing me. But my point remains that I love chris' content but I'm not insentivised to buy it because it all appears old and out of date. I think he should invest in new ways of doing things that are future proof, and that could gain him more attraction from new fans. I think he's doing himself a disservice to continue trying to squeeze money out of people who are already struggling due to cost of living. (Were all, including me, affected) A new, modern system to get his content, a new website etc could all increase attraction, with samples on KZread to attract it. So I conceded slightly but my point remains.

    @@olliestrains841 Having known Chris personally, I don't think I've seen anyone work quite as hard as he has. Despite his illness and other problems out of the control of everyone Chris has kept on plugging away. Saying he's doing a disservice to himself is utterly wrong, the amount of effort that is required through physical research, filming and getting stories from crews it all takes a HUGE amount of time and energy. Having helped myself I can get a strong understanding towards the physical and mental strain of doing this and providing content to you and all of his 21,000 subscribers says a lot, to the point of he's worked to exhaustion. The USA trip was a giant venture which yes cause of certain things out of his control he couldn't meet. So please consider the time and bloody effort that's put into these videos, SLIP's, GTi's and so on.
