Hey Alex, love your videos! May I kindly ask... You used autofocus through all this? What is your overall opinion on the autofocus of the 4D? I heard so many bad things which still make me hesitate to pull the trigger. Is there a way to adjust not just focus speed but also tracking sensitivity like on sony cameras? Meaning, that I can pass a tree and it will not immediately focus on that tree, unless I stop when the tree is in the middle of the frame? Have a great day!

Have you tried using the backpack set-up to run the 4D in the bag and use the 4D flex? Just in case going handheld seems too heavy for run and gun work. Fairly sharp wide open at 2.8, can definitely replace the Steadicam rig for these shots.

Hi I planning to buy the Ronin 4D but I don't know what would be the better option for me the 6K or the 8K. Witch one would you recommend?

hmm crazy i am surprised it worked ... i bought the octopus adapter but it was so heavy that only a few lenses stayed under the weightlimit of the ronin so i had to get another adapter so i chose the nisi one

Honestly one of the best video's on the 4D out there. Would you mind if I can get in contact for some questions about this setup? Im planning on doing the same but with NiSi Athena Prime lenses, very disappointed with the my 24/50mm sony GM lenses on the ronin so im going to switch asap.

i use the gm lenses with the ronin an i am pretty happy with them can i help? what's the problem ?

@ Very poor autofocus performance and tracking in smart mode, it backfocusses allot

@@everonproducties what i do is manual calibration with a tripod and i activate the 4x magnification to get that right. I use a simple focus chart and put that on a wall. I check for the sensor being parallel to the wall and only focus the center to minimized failed calibrations. sometimes i have to redo the calibration but so far i am pretty happy with the results i must say since i found my way to calibrate well

@ Do you think the reason why some people say the autofocus is crap is because they don't calibrate their non-DJI lenses thoroughly?

@@PhillGraaf yes because i was one of them. I do not know about the dji zoom lens but all lenses must be calibrated manually otherwise it will simply do not work well. Automatic calibration should be removed from the camera imo it never worked in my case. But yeah calibrate it manually in the way i explained with a tripod and it will work well enough for everything.
