You can't unfortunately. But you can upgrade the total range over time and I believe you can get the range to encompass an entire planet at the end

my understanding is that you need: belt in to box with logistic station and at least 1 bot that station must provide to distributors then you have a box with a station set to request from others then you can distribute/collect to/from icarus but that seems like it's limited to 1 provider, 1 receiver station

one thing I need to figure out, just like bots in Factorio, is how many. I see a limited number can fit in the Distributors. Say they have a demand and you put the 10/10 bots in the Distributor. They fly off. Can that Distributor no longer do anything until they return? Can you use belts and inserters to insert bots into the Distributors? Do they just "spread themselves around" or do you have to manually put them in each Distributor? In Factorio it seemed very abstract, you could have hundreds all converge on a hub, recharge and enter, and they weren't "there" they were just in the network somehow.

What happens to them? Sometimes I return to containers and see there are "0/10 bots" but I definitely put some in there, and the hub will accept more

So I started a new play through a few days ago and thought it was a great idea to use these for my setup distributing ore to smelters etc. Bad idea. They are nowhere near as effective as planetary stations for things that need a lot of product moved. I guess they’re helpful in early game and then maybe setting up a spot that has boxes with every building in a central location to easily and automatically fill you up on belts, sorters, smelters, etc so you never have to worry about running out while you’re building. Im switching all the boxes with logistic stations to planetary ones first thing tomorrow. Oh another good use I just thought of is to easily re-supply interplanetary stations with warpers instead of wasting a slot.

thank you very much, i had problems figuring out how to move items between boxes if i may ask, how the planetary station is better? just longer reach on the same planet?

Thank you for the kind words! The planetary stations have higher throughput so they would be better if you wanted to move ores for big smelting columns. They also integrate with the interplanetary stations.

Ive managed to get mine working but the logistic bots after sending seem to just vanish ... ahh, they are just on their way back lol. I think its cool seeing all this activity flying around above me now that Ive got this and the planet ones going but am struggling to get the interplanetary one going. Ive got everything all set up but they wont send...Must I have the warp speed upgrade for it to work?

You only need warp drives if you are leaving the current solar system you are in. You also need to set one station to supply, and the other station to demand - specifying which resource you want demanded.
