Thank you!!! 🤩 I’ll get the Dyson fixed, I’m pretty sure it just needs some grease on the pivoting head so the brushbar stays more flat to the floor ✌🏽

I feel very lucky to have owned a Dyson that was Made In England. I had a DC03 and DC05 that were made in the UK and also used to help my late mum do a cleaning job after school using a DC02. There was something quite special about using the UK assembled ones. I then got a DC04, DC05 and DC24 that were Made in Malaysia. No drop in build quality at all. It’s the DC40 and DC41’s that feel like cheap toys to me, That’s cos of how they are designed and not where they are made. I have a V8 now that’s 6 years old but broke a lot of parts due to being heavy handed and also on 5th battery in 6 years. Also now use a V15 that feels better made construction to the V8, but the V15 suffers from the ‘Wash Filter’ message even though filter is clean. I guess it’s a software issue from day one out the box. I can’t complain as I got it super cheap and got new motor body unit and bin replaced under warranty. That’s how I know the software is the issue and not the filter. I enjoyed your video watching the UK assembled DC04! I love the high pitched motors on these! Brings back so many memories for me!!

Loved reading this comment! 🤩 the DC04 seemed to be Britain’s most popular vacuum ever in the early 2000s! I also found the DC40/41 to be quite flimsy and prone to breaking. The new UP32 ball animal however feels quite sturdy, I love those! And the cleanerhead has a better brushbar too for higher performance! The V8 was great, I found them to be quite reliable apart from the battery holding less charge after a year or two Nice to hear you have a V15 now! What do you think of the performance? I think it cleans very well especially on carpets, I think they’re better than the latest Dyson too! Have you tried a replacement filter? The hepa part of the filter clogs with ultra fine particles including water, I discovered that they have to be thoroughly washed, properly rinsed and properly dried 👍🏽 Thanks for the lovely comment! ✌🏽

@@parwaz7861 Hello there, I completely agree with everything you say. The DC04 was the best selling upright in that time. I remember when the DC04 came out and I used to go and have a look at it in my local Currys store after school (I was 14 I think, obviously a fair bit older than you - lol). I used to think they looked cool, though I always preferred a DC03 look and weight of which I did have a DC03 in 1999! The suction wasn’t the best, but I tell you, it picked up sooooooooo much nasty black dust that was left behind from years of mum using a Vax orange tub vacuum with suction alone on the carpets. Had a DC05 (one of the first ones out - that has a H Level filter that wasn’t washable and the floor tool was proper stainless steel at the bottom of the Dyson Designed Floor Tool, before Dyson cheapened it to a plastic soleplate, which I never liked and the telescopic wand was proper steel as well!! There was a design fault on the first lot of DC05’s where the cable would slowly rewind back in when the machine got hot!! Silly design to have the hot air going over the mechanism, though Dyson did resolve that and DC05’s stopped doing that as I got another one in 2003. The telescopic wand was aluminium on that one. I’m afraid I never got to get that machine and last time I knew it’s in the garage at my late mums house. Long story! I can’t go back to the house. I do feel like the V8 feels like a cheap toy when I use it compared to the V15 and those batteries are a pain!! I only ever got 1.5 years out of one before it wouldn’t hold charge long enough to vacuum 1 bedroom flat - 5 batteries in 6 years, though it was used everyday. The V15 is a big improvement and is much more powerful and actually feels like it’s doing something!! It’s picked up a lot of dust that was left behind by the V8. I only get around 20 minutes when using on Auto/Medium mode which is fine. I also noticed the batter run time gets let’s as it gets used it older. Started at around 40 minutes with new battery and as it ages, it’s down to 33 minutes now (in Medium mode as handheld). My machine has that Filter Wash error message that comes up every time it’s used for more than 2 minutes. It doesn’t affect functionality. It’s a software issue not the filter as tried new filter and this body has done it from day one. I got the body as a replacement from Dyson as the original which I bought off Facebook was cracked and had a hole in the cyclone manifold. The V15 has surprised me in many ways and I really do like it a lot. I still feel the need to use a SEBO Felix for that long deep clean. I still am really fond of SEBO Felix machines as a good plug in that will last and last and last. I thank you for all your fantastic videos. I still think you should make a career out of vacuums mister 😊

I remember looking at the DC04 De Stijl on the Dyson website and thought it was the coolest thing ever, and going to see them in comet felt surreal alongside the DC07s! The DC03 was a pretty nicely designed machine, just wish it had a twin motor setup and a more powerful main motor. Amazing to hear your experience with your DC03 picking up loads! I do like the metal base floortools of the DC05, however I prefer the plastic base a little better as I found they stick to the floor better I’m so glad to hear you love the V15! Certainly a huge upgrade from the V8 - just be careful not to squeeze the trigger too hard as the plastic arm can eventually snap which results in the switch on the battery not being able to be pressed. It’s a shame to hear about the software error regarding the filter, I’ve never heard of that before! Very interesting What I like is the auto mode changing the speed of the motor, I think it’s better and more healthy for the battery when the vacuum motor changes speeds compared to the v8 which just stays on a certain selected speed I agree about the felix too! One of the best deep cleaning vacuums I’ve ever used, it’s just nice to whizz around with it every once in a while for a deep clean, it feels so solid and sturdy and the simplicity is beautiful Many thanks for your kind words about the vacuum field, that would be awesome imagine!!
