After establishing a baseline of 276 hp and 280 lb-ft at the rear tires from the bone-stock LS1 in our '99 Trans Am, the addition of an LS6 intake manifold, SLP Blackwing air lid, and custom tuning increased that to 299 hp and 301 lb-ft to the rear tires on a Mustang dyno.

I prepared this article for Car Craft magazine that outlines several measured differences. www.motortrend.com/how-to/pick-25-hp-stock-ls1-ls6-intake-swap/ Let me know if you have any specific questions that weren't answered in the article and I'd be glad to answer.

During the early-to-mid 2000s, SLP offered modified LS6 intake manifolds that included an EGR port for 98-00 F-car owners who want to take advantage of the increased performance while remaining emissions compliant. You can see more of the SLP-modified intake manifold here www.motortrend.com/how-to/pick-25-hp-stock-ls1-ls6-intake-swap
