Dynasty Warriors 8: XL CE - Shu Story Mode 5 - Battle of Changban (Ultimate)
And now we come to Changban, which is always my least liked stage in these games. It's okay here, but on Ultimate difficulty Liu Bei has an extreme tendency to get himself killed. Especially when the peasants start dropping. Who you play affects what you do, as Zhang Fei you defend the bridge, but you can strike out every now and then.
Zhang Fei himself is a friggin' beast. He has the Shadow Dash which instantly makes him great for combos, his moveset is really good with buffs, an unblockable EX, a grab, and good range and power without sacrificing speed. His R1 musou is one of the strongest in the game and deals an absurd amount of damage if every hit connects. He has a grab musou to disregard any guarding enemies as well. His air musou I think is unblockable too, but I don't play him enough to remember for sure. As fun as he is to play, I don't play him too much due to me finding his character sorta boring.

The battle of Changban was just boring in DW8. No unique battle theme, no cutscenes of Zhang Fei defending the bridge or Zhao Yun saving infant Liu Shan, having to wait for Liu Bei to escape all the way down instead of defeating Cao Cao to end the battle just like in the older DW games, and that frigging whiny peasant that just won’t shut up.

Some of the fights just seem incomplete u can tell by watching though
6:35 Zhang fei get pissed by the lowly fodder words XD 🤣🤣🤣😆😂😂 However, Zhuge Liang speak gently when dealing with lowly fodder too😅
15:04 Zhang Liaos old VA still is present for that grunt. Looks like that wasn't re recorfed
I think this is the first battle so far where you got over 1000 KO's, congrats

Thanks, though since DW7 getting 1000 KOs really stopped being much of an achievement. That's why now there's Trophies for getting 3000 KOs in a single battle instead.
If the devs were actual huge history nerds, they would've added Mi Fang's remarks on Zhao Yun's defection ( which is false because Mi Fang is a coward and was wavering ). Also, the devs should take time finding certain feats and titles befitting the characters that achieve the 1000 K.Os. Like Zhang Fei, who calls himself "Zhang Yide of Yan" or how people nicknamed him "Wan Ren Di"( implying his strength of 10,000 men ).

one question why do you always use rage attacks for last resorts xaldin? because if you defeat an officer it will recharge more faster or give you a boost

His personality is boring. I'll play Zhuge Liang at Chibi and Guan Yu at Fan Castle.
