Good review.
Do not be drawn into buying an expensive smoker. This little one does a great job and is easy to use. A great additon to your patio cooking experiences. Available at Lowe's Canada and Lowe's US. Very very reasonable price if found on sale. Sales should start soon this fall.
I have this smoker by another name but made by the same manufacturer. Master Forge from Lowe's. My thermometer on the door is just fine and indicates correctly where the smoke temps are. We use the Thermopro TP20 remote for checking doneness and temps of meats etc. The only thing I added is self adhesive wool gasket around the edge of each door. That solved escaping heat and smoke for only a few dollars. Also for those who buy this at Lowe's the cover for the Dyna Glo is identical on Amazon. Using a smoker for beginners is a completely new learning curve for cooking. Be patient. Mistakes will be made but eventually perfection will be achieved with this smoker. It is a great product at a great price point.
The thermometer isn’t to keep the meat at a “Precise and consistent temperature”. It’s to monitor the heat inside the smoker. 👎🏻
