The same happened to me I was with my ex for 17 years and I found out he was cheating with another women and I kicked him out my house and I’ve been moving on since.. my heart is elsewhere now but I’m not sure he feels the same. Being good defo gets you hurt but don’t let your heart change stay the same person you will find someone who is worth it.

Mine did because my toxic ex wouldn't leave me alone. So he sent him a message on Facebook and sent him this and he's left me alone since. Ever since I met my current man my ex has tried to get me to cheat and I haven't ever went back to him since the day I left him after I caught him cheating with multiple women. I'm a truck driver while I was on the road making money trying to provide for our future he was telling women I was a roommate and moving to a different state. It's been over a year and he's continually everytime he breaks up with his new supply he's a clinical diagnosed narcissistic personality disorder. I hope he find what makes him happy but after what he did to me causing me to miscarriage our second child he will never touch me again

They already gained everything when they left. And if the song strikes a chord, it's likely a reminder of how happy they are now, rather than a longing to go back to "promises" of before. Sort of like when you find the perfect holiday destination that's worth going back to, and you tell your travelling companions "do you remember that roach-infested leaky dive we stayed in all those years ago? Now, THIS is what we should have booked, way back then!" If the other establishment is under new management and has managed to improve, that's great news for whoever visits next, but now you've found this new place you wouldn't risk going back. You're not the same person now, and it holds too many dodgy memories.

I am going thru a tough time with my husband right now. We have officially been together for 5 years, but in reality 4. I left my husband in June of 2023. He just came back at the end of March. This came out 10 yrs too late... My ex had the nerve to tell my "Now Husband" that he was waiting for me to come crawling back to him... My now hubby replied with, "well then, you should know, I asked her out, she said yes!" A couple weeks later, my ex said "you ready to get rid of her, she is F*ing crazy!" To which he replied "in fact, I asked her to marry me, and she said yes!" My ex tried to turn my own son against my marriage with my husband. Several times. As a young kid, he believed that was the right thing to do.... But the first argument, hubby and I had 4 yrs later, he said she went back to him huh? To which my son replied, "No, no she didn't! She loves you, she doesn't want nobody but you! And even though I disagreed for a long time , I have to admit, she has never been happier then she is with you!" Had this song came out 10 yrs ago, I would have sent it to my ex.... But he died, 2 yrs ago. Still hanging on, hoping I would come back someday!
