Dykes' touch to settle and cue McLean for that lovely goal was a piece of art. The spin was gone and the ball nearly stopped when the boot arrived, calmly played and placed. The boys were full value on this one, thrilled for them and the Scottish football fans. Also chuffed about the ecstatic outbursts from the announcers, it's wonderful to experience such joy made public. Well done, Scotland, now go take the next step. From Canada.

2nd goal isn't just great for us, it'd be great for any team anywhere. Absolutely magnificent

The 2nd goal is beautiful.

Everything about that 2nd goal was just perfect. McTominay looking up early, McGinn whipping it to Dykes, Dykes cushioning that pass and McLean just zipping the ball into the only place the keeper had no chance of getting it - all of that with 3 minutes on the clock and for it to be the winner. Perfection.

I'm in my 50's, i remember the Scotland team of the 70's, feared on the pitch, Daglish, Souness, Hansen, Macari, Hartford, Jordan, Gemmil et all. This team has a buzz about them, like we had in days long gone, too long have we been on the fringe, and now, we dream of glory, and it's all thanks to our team, we are all so very proud of you, Goan yersel.

I remember these teams and as world-class as they were, did absolutely fxck all on the pitch when it mattered. Blew it against Peru big time yet beat Holland, go figure 😅

@@SMITH-lw3rv 1974 was truly Scotland's best team. They drew with Brazil the world champions at the time, and drew with Yugoslavia who would 2 years later go on to be the European champions. They are only to go undefeated at a WC and not make knock out stages. Truly only a record Scotland could achieve.

The pass from dykes is outstanding, a lot of strikers would have tried to go themselves in that situation. Unbelievable start to this group, Here’s hoping we can carry this on and win the games we should be winning!

And was always constantly going back there as kid. Dykes said of his background, "My parents are Scottish. They are from Dumfries. My dad is from just outside Dumfries, a small town called Moniaive." Dykes' son was born in Scotland.

The big man played it to perfection

Steve Clarke's got the tactics spot on in every game so far in this qualifying campaign and the players have played with heart and soul, never letting their head down even when they went behind and got the result they deserved. And the second goal is just the icing on the cake I think I've watched that goal about 100 times since Saturday.

and now we know why a game is 90 min. Never say die you brave lads!!

Sadly for Norway it was not the subbs your coach did that changed the match. Somehow Norway tend to screw things upp when it is 10 - 12 min left, happends way to much. Looks like Norwegian defenders cant stand 90 min but should be subbed after 60 or 70 min.

The fact we couldn't get to see this on either Sky Sports or BBC is a disgrace.

I love Mctominays pass for the second goal. Not an easy pass to make but did it with pin point precision.

Bloody ridiculous..... I'm not even Scots ( though me missus is ) and for the how menyth time I'm sat here in tears. Worried that the next time I'll see it I might wake from the dream.
