You see this is what I tried to tell my mama when I was 15 and she forbid me. She said ginger hair wasn’t for melanated people. 10 yrs later and everybody is doing this. Smh

@@JadedForAlways my aunt was brown skinned but with a warm UNDERTONE When she was young, her hair had a few Auburn strands. When she went to black beauty shops, for dyeing, itd come out WRONG, so, she either did it herself or went to white beauty shops (she lived in CA, no jim crow)

@@kathleenking47 You see. I know and my mother knows melanated people can naturally have all kinds of hair colors. She just insisted it didn’t look good. Now she thinks it all looks great 🙄 Where was that energy 10 years ago. Edit: does your aunt still wear her auburn strands? Just curious. I once had dirty blonde strands in the front of my hair from having relaxer and swimming at the beach all summer (my mom later dyed it dark brown)
