You seem like such a cool guy. I don't think I have ever seen or heard of a VA actually being interested and promote the game they are working on/in. This is including the big AAA VAs like troy baker or nolan north... Maybe joosten did some promo stuff for MGSV and lemar and franklin VAs from GTAV did some meme tier YT vids. I can see that you are actually a fan of the franchise. Assuming your words are your own and you aren't under contract to promote the game!

It never ceases to feel good when I stick a landing after a gnarly parkour combo and Aiden goes "heh.."

No actually though. I'm def new to anime (Less than a year) but, he's been in some of my most favorite ones, even if he's just a minor character. If he joins the Demon Slayer team or even like the Genshin Impact team, I'm actually going to cry of joy; Jonah totally deserves it and has the reputation under his belt!

No, I 100% also thought Aiden was also voiced by Roger Craig Smith until just now. I heard him and immediately assumed they just brought back Roger, but I guess they just happened to find someone that sounded super close on accident.

Oh trust me, it impacts a LOT. We can only show so much of that kind of content because it could spoil some things. But unlike other games that sell themselves on that gimmick, DL2's choices actually DO impact you and the world itself, characters, and cutscenes have huge changes.

I'm *also* a little obsessed with Joe from Sk8 the infinity. So when I heard you were going to voice Aiden, I had to preorder it. Cannot *wait* to make the w o r s t choices as Aiden.

So update: the game came out and I finished it. Somehow got myself the best ending because I loved all the characters so much I didn't want to kill anyone. Even Waltz was way more human than Rais. Aiden was perfect and I can't imagine anyone else voicing him the way Jonah did. It was brilliant. Especially the pants and grunts he does when he gets infected. You can tell Jonah and the Devs put so much effort into the game. 10/10 gonna replay it already and ACTUALLY make the bad choices lol

@@rosewilson1052 Jonah as infected is legit nightmare fuel. Those sounds are terrifying. And yeah I just felt pity for Waltz. By the time he just leaned against Mia's bed all torn and blooded saying nothing but how sorry he was, that really stung for this near faceless villain we've had in our heads almost the entire game. Btw, what was the good ending? Because spoilers for anyone else reading: I just finished it and just decided to blow up the city because I thought it would save both Mia and Lawan and didn't like people in the city anyway, but I think it only got Lawan out even though the facility was kept intact. The choices seemed a bit unclear to me. Still a great game though.

@@rosewilson1052I finished it today. Not too bad. Story was a bit wonky at times and it felt a bit forced (like going into Lawan's apartment to get her shoes for her). I chose to let Lawan blow herself up but in the end that didn't matter as Hakon ended up saving her. Not sure if that's the good ending. Probably not because Juan ended up ruling the city with Williams because I sided with him rather than Jack.

Super cool to hear all this, man. Seems like you had a great time becoming this character. Can't wait for release!

Literally thought they rehired Roger Craig Smith during the first few days of playing the game. Aiden Caldwell may damn well be my most favorite zombie game protagonist to date and all thanks to you Jonah Scott.

I really like Aiden. I haven't related to a first person protagonist this much since Far Cry 3.

Coming back to this after playing the game for HOURS. You did one of the best voice acting jobs I have ever heard in a video game. The emotion in some scenes is so convincing it was incredible. Great job, VERY bright future.

When I first played dl2, it made me miss dl1, which originally made me think "ah fuck, guess it's a sub-par sequel again" but when I went back to play dying light one, I missed the second, and I realised that the two games are two complete opposite ends of the same story, Aiden and Crane are both fucking awesome protagonists that perfectly suit their awesome games, with all that being said; I am extremely upset there is no wheelchair in dl2. We had crane on a crane, but no Aiden on a mobility aid? A tragedy.

It amazes me how Aiden In this game and Kyle Crane from Dying Light 1 sound so much alike. It's crazy. It can't be just me that almost can't tell them apart. Very well done Jonah!

Jonah Scott is definitely in my top 10 possibly even top 5 VAs. Every character he has played I have truly connected to.

I just finished yesterday playing Dying Light 2, the main story. I found Aiden's character to be very interesting & a very loyal character. And I loved the butterfly effect In the game. It feels like the map is so much bigger than Dying Light 1. Had to find out who did the voice acting for Aiden. Absolutely amazing work with the voice acting. I enjoy doing all the side quests a lot more than most of the main missions. I am really bad at doing the water towers & radio antenna's & everytime I fall, doing those I have to apologize to Aiden. 😂 1 I am not great at doing things by the clock & 2 I am not good with hights, but this game has helped a lot. 😂 Awesome work 👍

Aiden and Lawan had easily the best voice acting in the entire game and carried the game's story imo. So I hope you do more voice work in big games like DL2.

We aren't allowed to show UI assets including skill trees in our uploads for a while, but I can say that the skill tree was very easy to figure out and really felt like you could customize things to your own playstyle! All while feeling like it's an addition to base gameplay vs it being a necessary component. All I can say is, look forward to it! There's some fun new mechanics that we haven't even been able to show off yet and some WE haven't even seen!

DL2 and Insomniac's Spiderman music really bring the game feeling very cinematic

That music mechanic while doing parkour is 😩

Red hood is absolutely the perfect idea for a character in a zombie apocalypse. He’s desensitised to the violence so he’d be more likely to stay calm and even make a dark joke or two in the face of danger but wouldn’t be actively trying to brighten everyone’s day.

You should see him in the Dceased comic series. The guy is actually at peace in the middle of a hive mind zombie apocalypse. Even gets freaking married! Now, they pulled a cheap stunt, but I’m hoping with the macgregor item they got recently (the term is macgregor, right?) they rectify that. Unless the authors are completely uncreative. In which case, I’ll be annoyed.
