Dyeing Games- Dip Dyed Wool Warp

Ойын-сауық

Dyeing Games: I draw dye colours randomly and devise a plan to apply them to yarn in a pleasing combination. In this episode I dip dye a wool warp and weave a scarf.

I gave up on dying years ago after 10+ ties to get a deep red on my handspun wool resulted in hot pink. I just don't have a knack for this. LOL

K DX I just responded to what I was seeing in the pot. I kept an eye on the colour in the water and tried to time the end of the warp to almost colour exhaustion. Video is 4x speed, so about 4-5 minutes for yellow and another 4-5 minutes for blue. Does this answer your question?

I use ProChem acid dyes. These colours are yellow and turquoise.
