Why did you add the 3 spoons of vinegar? Because baking soda is Alkali, so vinegar would make it acid again...?

Hi Sophie, Thanks for your question. I've learned that animal fibers such as wool are sensitive to alkaline substances. Therefore, to be gentler on the yarn, I added vinegar to neutralize the dye solution. Hope that helps. Happy natural dyeing💕

@@namiwave thank you very much. I learnt so much. I am cooking up my 3d infusion of alder + cherry bark dye now. I will make sure to neutralize the solution when I have achieved the color I want!
