Dye R2 vs Virtue Spire IV
my In depth review of the Dye R2 hopper and the Virtue Spire IV. Two of the most used hoppers on the market. I break down the hoppers and what it takes to clean and change batteries in these hoppers. I also do a feed test at the end to see what hopper feeds faster, and if the feed ramps work properly. One cost $80 more then the other. What do you get for the extra 80 bucks, is it worth is?

I have both hopers an like both R2 for my axes an spire 4 for my luxes great review
I've owned both and I have to say that they both have their advantages over each other for me. If I am shooting 10.5 or less then both loaders are perfect. If I am running a mechanical or semi-auto past 10.5 then I will tend to want to use the rotor. The rotor R2 is definitely a better loader for a back player for its Superior capacity unless I guess you pay the buttload of money for the Spire 280/ 4. I'm not sure if I can say I think one of these are better than the other but I would tend to lean towards the Spire 4 just because it's so darn gentle on fragile paint and as far less likely to jam than the rotor R2 although I almost never had any jams with my R2
The spire crown opens. Pinch the back of it, there's a little tab on the back inside lip.
The speed feed can be opened like the Dye. There's a button on the inside of the feed rather than the outside. Took me awhile to figure it out.

My HK spire speed feed slides in, then you press down on the tab and pull the speed feed right out. Also had a button on the outside of the speedfeed to lift the entire speed feed up and fill the hopper
Didnyou have to buy the red window separately? The red R2 seem to have a different color window now
