You should open a training institute in the USA. Internationals come there and learn more with practical teardown, overhauling etc and get a certificate from your institute. ❤

I’m a bit confused by your explanation. We have an air cooled Carrier 30AX which have the condenser water coming in the end bell & feeding from the TXV to the bottom and suction line on top, but the literature calls it either flooded or DX and I had a hard time determining which was which. I think it is flooded based on your definition BUT the manual says it should maintain EEV position based on discharge superheat. But I find it is maintaining the EEV position based on Suction superheat, which is called out to be for the DX setup. What are your thoughts? I suppose it could be configured wrong but the units are 15 years old!

What would cause intermittent low refrigerant temp alarms on a CGAM chiller?

Several things, refrigerant charge, water flow issues, transducer or thermistor issues, or eev issues would be first things to verify. All of those can have intermittent symptoms. I have a chiller community for everyone enrolled at chilleracademy.com where you can get indepth troubleshooting support!
