DX Commander and POTA: Quick Setup

Ғылым және технология

Matt Heere's video is • The Worlds Fastest DX ... .
At the site of the POTA activation shown at the end of the video, it did take 22 minutes to place the antenna. Sometimes stuff (other vehicles and brush) get in the way.
Short on time? The two big time savers are at 7:45 and 10:30.

I'm so honored that you stopped by. I love my DX Commander. You make an awesome antenna. Great support too. And yes, the official bucket was my attempt to show some humor coming from a person not really known to have much. Ha!

With tape. Could I recommend something. Get some “grip tape” or “paper tape” it generally leaves no residue behind. Might cost a bit more but the OCD (Actually ADHD hyper fixation nature of me) knows this would bug me. I work in the movie industry for Special effects and props so no residue tape is critical and grip tape would do. Paper tape might work but I’m not 100% sure

Thank you for advice but I am amazed at something else. You made robo-Wilson? I saw the first pitch video whenever it came out. Definitely portrayed the persona of a great movie character. Tom Hanks did well too. Oh, and OCD is highly underrated in its value to society.

Great video, just as a heads up, don't use black tape, it leaves that residue, any other color works the same but leaves no residue behind. I prefer white or any bright color tape so I don't lose my roll in the grass.

I originally used black tape bought from my local hardware store. The residue resulted in my not being able to retract two of the upper sections which resulted in me breaking one piece. Ouch. The 3M Temflex that I mentioned in the video seems good, but I never thought of using colored tape. What you said makes sense ... including the grass part. Thank you.
