That's actually the same name my friend gave her dog who looks very similar to this one, but he's a Bulldog/Shitzu. She calls him a BullShit. He has the same flipper paws 🥰

He’s so cute! I’m so happy he found the perfect family ❤️I always say one day I’m going to go to the shelter and rescue the dog that’s been there the longest that no one wants. No matter how big or small too I think they all deserve a chance to live a great life with someone who will love them.

Frankie Basile i suspect Biggie wasn’t abused and Yam may have been. That’s speculation on my part, but their behavior had led me to that conclusion. I also wonder if Chow is the only other breed in his genealogy.

He’s adorable. My advice: I would install ramps, because there can be damage being done to his spine and joints from his jumping that is not noticeable now, even though he seems to be fine with jumping. If ramps are installed now, and he is taught to use them, this gives him choices now (on a daily basis), about whether he wants to jump or walk up the ramp to his destinations. This may also save him a slipped disc, and/or luxating patella issues, and/or joint/hip issues (arthritis), in the future. After installing the ramps, and showing him how to use them, you may be surprised how frequently he will use the ramps to get to his destinations, over jumping to his destinations.

i think he's a Staffy-Basset Hound mix. You can tell by the feet. I've had two Basset-Pittie mixes--- they are the best dogs ever. they look exactly like Biggie, especially their flippy little Basset feet.

Not at all! Bassets are very hardy hounds and when mixed with muscular pitties or Staffies, makes for a very resilient, powerful pup. Their feet just look kind of like a penguin's, but that only adds to the allure! What I've found is that you must be prepared to deal with the inherent stubbornness of a Basset combined with the strength of a pittie/staffie. When my boy, Roy, goes for a walk, he will do the typical Basset thing and just stop and sniff the air for about 10 minutes and if I try to urge him along, he just lays down like a Basset and refuses to move. With his pittie power, he can be a handful to get moving, but he wears a nylon harness with a handle on the back so I can pick him up like a suitcase. I've had many dogs, but I've never had one that likes water as much as Roy. He will splash and swim until he's exhausted. Also, Basset/pitties are excellent travelers, they love car rides and really take an active interest in their surroundings. Roy is always on the lookout for horses and cows. But again, you must be careful when you take them for walks because, like any scent hound, if they get on the trail of a good smell, they forget everything, and GO!

He looks like a Coconut Retriever! So many of the mutts on St Croix look like this. The sweetest, most playful pups!!

I noticed the dog lying on his stomach a couple times throughout the video. How a dog sleeps reveals a lot about his home life. Biggie lying "upside down" means that he is exposing his stomach and throat, his most vulnerable places for attack. Lying on his stomach regularly is somewhat unusual. But, it also means that he feels so happy and well protected in his environment that he can relax that way. So... good for him! I'm glad he was adopted into such a good home.

Oh Biggie. Thanks so much for the laughs. If I saw his vet's notes and there was no reference to flips and log body, I'd be very disappointed. People who adopt by saying they don't care who it is, just give us the one who needs us the most are amazing people. I'm so glad Yam has Biggie. I wish many happy years for your precious family.
