It aint easy, imagine being sister/friend for many years going through so many things since childhood, sharing so many memories together, we never know how they felt for each other & how hurt it was for snsd. Yet the solo stan of jess keep blaming GG for her departure, like they are robot no heart no feeling at all. Do they think it easy to let go someone you know for years, you live with & growing together just like that!! Is not it better to support both jess & snsd rather than fighting over something we never knew the ending.

@@Zero-bp6lh i agree but we know that The members and company gave her a one sided notice that she will no longer be a SNSD member. She said it in her statement and SM never sued her for lying, cause you know how much SM love to sue their artists if they lie about 1 single thing. I'm pretty sure that happened for sure, now the reasons? we will never be certainly sure.

@@marcelofrias1631 I do believe that SM handed Jess the ultimatum, but it was her decision choosing not to stick with the girls. My intepretation of her reaction on this topic in the interview on Dec 2023 in Singapore (timestamp about 24min) tells me that she's not completely clean/innocent either. On the hindsight, by choosing not to talk about it or responds to it, this actually keeps SNSD going strong. At least we have SNSD Forever One.

@@QiHaoGoh88 Nope, Jessica said it herself in her statement the day she was kicked out that The members held a meeting behind her back and gave her an ultimatum in mid-september, 1 MONTH and a HALF after launching her business and everything had been signed. "That changed in September, though, a month after BLANC had been launched. The other members of the group had a change of heart. At a meeting of the other eight members, it was decided that I would be told to either turn my back on my business or leave the group" After that, she still went to SM and asked them if she was still allowed which she was and still had the company's blessing. The problem was within the members and that's sad cause they KNEW about her business and gave her PERMISSION to be able to do it. Then SM kicked her out based on the most of the members decisions and that they were not going to share a stage if she was going. I actually don't think Jessica was a saint but her business (which was the reason for her being kicked out) was done within the rules of SM and SNSD, having the permission of the members and the company. Which saddens me cause most of the members looked at her face, allowed her to make her business, then stabbed her at the back once all of her deals were done and knew that she could not back out. "I told them that I had already received SM’s permission for my business activities, and that as they had never interfered with my work with Girls’ Generation. I also said that I had signed a contract with a business partner, and could not back out of my commitments after only one month. I said that it was unfair to force me into making a decision such as this. Joining the group is the best thing that has ever happened to me, and leaving Girls’ Generation had never occurred to me before. I approached the SM management on September 16 to ask for clarification. At this meeting I was told that I still had the company’s blessing to continue with my business activities. On September 29, though, I was given a notice informing me that I was no longer a member of the group. Because of this fact, I was absent from the fan meeting event in China on September 30. I have also been left out of all further group activities. I have put 15 years of hard work and dedication into Girls’ Generation, and it has caused me a lot of pain. I cannot hide how sad I am that I was asked by the agency and the other members of the group to leave just because I wanted to start my own business."

@@marcelofrias1631 yeah. So where was she when SM made the announcement on 29.09? USA. Why was she there? Her business. The blessings were given as long as her activities do not interfere with the group schedule. But I guess soon they figured out that while she did present in all the schedule, after the schedule she would be gone to do her own stuff. As far as I can tell SNSD is all about 9 girls sticking together. Her heart was no longer there, but only business (as a SNSD member). That's what I think anyway. I guess we'll never know.

N.Y H.M I don't think this would be a good idea since the original one have Jessica. This song is iconic, it's their debut song. Let it be the way it was supposed to be without changing. Plus they already did this ballad version. What I'm trying to say is that it would be disrespectful with the original version and with Jessica too making a new studio version of itnw since she was/is/forever will be part of the song.

Taeyeon is so strong in this performance and irl. She has dealt with so much hate for falling in love and losing Jessica. Her best friend Jonghyun and father passed away and what's really sad is he died on her birthday. She is the strongest idol no cap.

Snsd paved the way for girl groups, back in their time its hard for a gg to get the spot as today, and thanks to them lots of gg have their own spotlight after debut.. "South Korea can make tons of girl groups but they can't make another snsd"

I'm just so proud of them especially to Taeyeon. She is the best and strongest leader for me. She has always been brave in front of her members, she doesn't want to pull them down and burden them that's why as much as possible, she tries so hard to hide her tears and her emotions. She has always been a shoulder for the crying seven girls when Jessica stopped promoting with them. Even when she was depressed, she tried to be happy when she was with the group and for the fans when performing. She never complained when it was hard for her, when everyone blamed her for dating Baekhyun and for departure of Jessica from the group. Imagine being the responsible one for your eight band members, you cannot let bashers and negative comments affects you because you might bring the group down. Imagine receiving a lot of harsh comments for the whole group yet she remained strong. Taeyeon is the most beautiful woman I've ever seen, inside out.

eversince Sica-unnie left, ITNW became a Ballad, Girls just can't be singing this happily when they are not OT9 anymore.. 💔💔💔

SM artist are really something else. They have the most powerful vocals in kpop, some of the most beautiful debut songs and probably some of the strongest leaders. I‘m not even a sone but this touches me so much. I just adore all SM groups, I love their interactions and the bond between the members.

But honestly, I think it teaches them to know that success can't be achieved without challenges. They need to work really hard, and if they are genuinely to be the artists, they will never give up and leave their dreams behind. Look, I know that you will said that I'm cruel and defending SM with a nonsense excuse, but without all the hardships, SM artists will never be at the top. All their hardships worth it with all their achievements. Even NCT, the so called floppest group from SM by the netizens, they still top the world chart especially in itunes with their hits. So for me, SM did that for a reason. The artists will never be at the top without the hard training and hardships.

I'm 42, discovered SNSD by pure coincidence. My introduction was the Mr. Mr. Debut. I've grown to love these ladies. I love the most crazy n random genres of music and I'm beyond grateful I discovered the queens. I'm probably to old for their audience but I'm not too old to be forever grateful that I found them and they're love of music. We don't have to speak the same language. Idk, I'm rambling on. this song isn't just powerful. it's meaningful and every word sends a message. during debut, it represented their dreams. 9 girls debuting in a music industry dominated by male groups and female idols were underrated. snsd broke the standards and made a pathway for female girl groups, they became legends. now, the song stands as their memories of how far they've come. 10 years of hard work to reach where they are. the memories they've had for almost their entire lives ever since they began training. their lives and youthhood were dedicate to snsd and now they reap what they now. honestly idk who wouldn't cry seeing that. imagine having been in the industry for more than a decade. and finally standing on a stage, having your own group concert and fans who adore you. imagining it makes me tear up that people would do that for me (if I were them) and they are so blessed, they deserve it so much. what they don't deserve is the hate. Jessica left, that's the saddest day for sones. the fandom broke. but as always, 8 in our eyes, 9 in our hearts. these girls have grown into mature young women. rather than pointing fingers, I'd rather people just love them for who they are and thank them for the work they put in.

SNSD did not break the standards, at the time they debuted (2007). Wonder Girls did. Without WG's tremendous success (from early 2007 through late 2008), there would not be THAT MUCH attention to girl groups like snsd and kara who debuted later 2007. (I know I know I know snsd did well during late 2007 through early 2008 too, but they were not as big as WG before WG left for the US.) This does not mean snsd's achievement is not huge, because IT IS HUGE and no one doubt that. In fact, snsd's OVERALL achievement is so much bigger than WG's, no doubt about that. But it is UNGRATEFUL to deny that WG was actually THE ONE who made the pathway for girl groups.

Even in 2007 WG was SNSD’s rival so if you think of it this way, they were both on even ground. They both appeared on Gallup or whatever it’s called chart in 2007, 2008, etc. So I wouldn’t say WG is the one to truly pave the way when there’s First Gen GGs.

Without SNSD, there won't be TWICE, GFriend and so on. They are already the seniors among the Kpop industry and all girl groups that are relatively new look up to them and respect them who they are. No other groups will be able to fill in what SNSD has contributed to the music industry. Although Jessica is no longer with them but their road to success started from this song which is their debut song. Would be nice to hear Jessica sing together with them again.

They are the "real Queens and legend of kpop"

In my opinion, they're the most iconic and legendary girl group Korea have though I'm not a fan of them, some groups may be more popular than them but the quality they gave us in their music is enough to prove that no one can replace them. Jessica might have left but she'll forever be a part in SNSD's tough journey in this cruel industry, even with the rumours of them fighting, SNSD will always be 9 not 8 or 5 but 9. The fact that they're still slaying after 15 years is too amazing for a kpop group that have been into a long hiatus. Let's hope that Jessica and SNSD will be together again in the future but whatever happens we should support them either way. ITNW is probably the best debut song in kpop

I mean it was painful enough when they lost just 1 member , imagine all members just gone . But we all know that soon or later that time will come and as much as we all hate to admit it , that time is near . I mean I hope and wish to see more Of them for many more years but it's gonna happen one way or another. I think that they would release one more album for their 10th year anniversary and that would be the last . They're gonna retired as a group, and each members will continue with their solo careers.

2:36 is Hyoyeon and 0:45 is Yuri (I think Hyoyeon is the main dancer but idk)

You literally can feel the burden on Taeyeon in this song. All the members struggle to fill in the void that Jessica left, and although Seohyun has grown so much and is able to carry the high notes there's still a limit to what she and Tiff can do to hold up such an iconic emblem. You literally see Taeyeon just tanking the chorus and the toughest notes alone, maintaining the song as her members are overwhelmed by emotion. Remember, this leader has had to battle depression facing the toughest fandom wars (and internal fandom war) of her time. A lot of people may think she's just all business, but underneath she's just as vulnerable as others. Big respect to her. Just hope that one day, OT9 can reconcile so that the burden is no longer so heavy on her.

With each members representing a color, taking out one just makes it incomplete for other sones. Snsd is talented, but none of them can replace the color jessica showed when she performs.
