I really love this because it's not "this side is right, this side is wrong", it's just "these are two different ways of doing your make up with two different outcomes". And both sides end up equally as gorgeous! As a MUA, I have so much respect for this. Love from Argentina 🤍

Get to know an artist. Someone that draws/paints. I was in my 40s,thinking all my life I had a sort of square round or fat square face, and the artist I was crying about it to said "you have a heart shape face. Period. Don't argue with me. I have an art degree and spent countless hours studying and dissecting the shape of faces and body parts." Mind blown.

I love the shape of the "bad" brow, but the fill of the "good" one is nicer for the overall look. The contour of your nose is what stands out the most to me. With the two different techniques, your nose literally looks crooked, which it normally does not. Really cool to see all of these different components together all at once. I love that you kept saying what you PREFER for the look of your own face, reminding that no way is THE way to do it. It's all about finding what you think flatters your shape and creates the look you want. Love that makeup can transform like this if we want it to! Learn so much from you!

I love that you don't take concealer all the way up. You only need to conceal the dark circles, not the entire under eye. It really looks unnatural when people do that, yet that's what we've been told for years by beauty gurus & magazines. It looks so bad! Ali Andreea made a great point that there's a nice shadow right underneath the waterline and if you smack concealer on there it makes your eyes looks smaller. Not to mention that it'll completely crease in like 3 mns after application.

Yes! I used to think I need to apply a thick layer of colour corrector and then another layer of light coloured concealer on the entire under eye area but after watching these videos I’ve come to realise that the way I was doing my concealer made me look a bit weird, it just looked unnatural and made my eyes look smaller. Now I only apply a very thin amount of a salmon coloured concealer and make sure there is a shadow underneath the waterline. Looks way better that way.

Depending on what type depression you have - whether you are low in serotonin, or low in dopamine - (either could result in depression) - and if you are not on an Rx antidepressant- you might try SAM-e (S-Adenosyne Methionine) - for low dopamine. I may have spelled Adenosyne wrong). Anyhow, our bodies make SAMe, but if we are low, it can make our brain's neuro-dopamine levels low. it's the type of depression that feels demotivating. If you are low in serotonin the depression feels less demotivating, but with a bit of anxiety or restlesness. For low serotonin, there is another OTC supplement you could take but I just don't recall the name of it. I am low on dopamine and SAMe has helped me greatly - I take 400mg in the a.m., on empty stomach. The other one, for low serotonin- it's a serotonin precursor- which you could Google 'serotonin precursor' to find out what that supplement is. Neither one would harm you, but neither should be taken if you are on any prescription antidepressant. You would probably know within a day or so which is the right one for you. For instance, Sam-e lifts my depression right away- I am low on dopamine. If my Son takes SAMe- it makes him feel anxious and restless, so I'm pretty sure his body has enough dopamine, but is low on serotonin. Lots of information online, as well, about taking an OTC supplement like this for depression. In Europe doctors regularly prescribe SAMe for depression rather than the Rx drugs we have here. Oh, it seems to me the serotonin precursor is 5-HTC - yep, pretty sure on that. I did try that one and it made me feel even more dragged out. You can get either one at a health food or vitamin store, or even on Amazon. (Gee, I didn't think about this, writing all this out, but I hope Alex doesn't mind I'm suggesting meds on her channel - yikes! - but I just couldn't not say anything - I was dx'd with MDD 10 years ago - debilitated and in the hospital with it - so it was very serious. Went the whole Prozac route, etc. but took my self off of Prozac after a couple years - then eventually found SAMe (Austrian nurse friend of mine suggested it) GOOD luck to you! Exercise helps alot, also, and a healthy diet (good amount of protein) - also fish oil caps, or some type of EPA supplement to increase your omega-3's O.K. - good luck and take care of yourself! Hope this helps 💜

So, hopefully you can find it - it should be just below this one. 😉

@@barbarafairbanks4578 @Barbara Fairbanks SAM-e can make some people feel crazy, it really depends on your genes. But as you've shown, it can be a life-saver. For me, my severe social anxiety calmed down a huge amount once I started taking zinc. A few days without and I feel crazy. Great to look at what your body is missing and supplement. And 5-HTP is what you were thinking of for serotonin. Sometimes depression is caused by an excess of a neurotransmitter, which is why SSRIs can be very dangerous - if your serotonin is already too high and your body is poor at detoxing it, you'll feel worse on those antidepressants. And if you have the MAO gene defect and take an MAO inhibitor antidepressant? Shiiiit, that is scary territory.

The thin eyeliner side of the face looks way better in my opinion. I’m beginning to think that exact application to certain areas of the face to enhance natural beauty is the way to go instead of just trying to cover the face with powders colors etc. makeup is the most interesting when we are able to take our unique angles and features and play with them to get an enhanced symmetry to the face . I love that your videos show this. it’s not only fun to watch but it makes me think, hmm 🤔 what could I do different to enhance my features.

Its amazing that you can show so many different techniques and it’s so educational. So detailed. You can totally pull off both eye looks. 👌🏻 Both lip shapes are great on you. The techniques you use currently looks like less makeup. It looks smoother, more blended, and looks like you.

I absolutely love how all your videos emphasize that there aren’t “right” and “wrong” styles of makeup, it’s all about what you like and what suits your face. Especially because so much of it also has to do with what’s “in style.” Like right now it’s all about the foxy eyes look, but I have round little puppy eyes so the pointed look doesn’t work on my eye shape, but if you watch those silly viral comparison videos they’ll put rounded eyeliner and shadow on the “wrong” side when it really is more flattering for certain eye shapes.
