Dutch pour on wood coasters! - AWESOME RESULTS WITH JUST PAINT AND WATER - #22

In this video, I'm doing an acrylic pour on solid wood coasters. For this pour, I've used Liquitex acrylic colors, system 3 acrylics, mixed with just water making sure that I don't use more than 30-40% of water as it will breakdown the paint pigment. After the paint dried in 2-3 weeks the coasters were coated with epoxy art resin!
Colors- Titanium white, Cadmium Yellow, Deep Violet, Fluorescent Pink, Gold & Cobalt Blue.
Hi, I'm Rakhi Jha. I'm an architect and an artist. I love working with acrylics and resin and I also love to transform furniture and decor into pieces of art. My absolute favorite is to combine techniques where I use chalk paint, acrylic pouring, and resin to create a piece of furniture that is vibrant and unique.
I hope you enjoy it!

Its beautiful I have a question. How you mix resin? Direct use of epoxy resin A or mix with hardner? Where we can buy epoxy resin?

Hi, resin is always mixed with hardner, that’s what activates it. Once mixed, you get around 45 min to do your art after that it starts to set (harden). You can get resin depending on brands from amazon, please follow the instructions and proportions to mix based on the brand you get. Good luck.

Does this mean you used 60% paint to 40% water or if using 30% water then use 70% paint?

Please see my video #36 for my ratio of paint and water. Basically, by weight not volume, if you take say 40ml paint, you can take 25-30ml water. I usually eyeball, but on request made a video and weighed it. Good luck
