Travel Vlog Iv is a travel and food video channel. I'm Ivana, nice to meet you! You'll find travel and food videos on this channel because I like to take you along while exploring the world. Q Where are you from?
A I am born in former Yugoslavia. Mom is Serbian, Dad is Bosnian. During the '90's war we came to the Netherlands and I got Dutch nationality. I've lived in Amsterdam for 8 years but lost my heart to India. Since 2018 I'm based in Bangalore. See this video for my refugee story: bit.ly/2l17T9h
Q How can you afford to travel so much?
A I saved for 3 years while working full time and now travel vlogging is my job. I work together with tourism agencies but also do some freelance work on the side. You can watch this video: • HOW TO TRAVEL THE WORL... and this one: • HOW TO SAVE MONEY FOR ... to learn more about my story.

A Canon G7X Mark II and Final Cut Pro X
Q (Why) Are you vegetarian?
A I'm vegetarian but not strict. I don't eat any meat, fish, cooked/boiled or fried eggs. I gradually became a vegetarian over the course of 15 years because I disliked the taste of meat more and more. After doing a yoga teacher training in 2015 I also quit fish and the eggs. No matter my food preferences I have no issues with other people not being vegetarian. I don't judge others and kind of expect the same favor from others concerning my own food preferences. It makes for a more friendly world :-)
Q Why do you usually travel alone?
A Because my friends have jobs with limited holidays, kids and partners. Also I really like exploring on my own.

Craving poffertjes right now 😍 I believe the market over here only sells warm stroopwafels. I’ll start a quest for poffertjes though, haha. Also this morning I made blueberry pancakes with maple syrup 😊 Love all kinds of pancakes💕
It's a chain actually. They have like 22 odd locations in Bombay too.

I've been to the 99 pancakes place here, in Mumbai and I absolutely loved it. Here too, the shop is tiny (super pretty though) but the chocolate mini pancakes tasted divine and this is coming from someone who has No sweet tooth at all.

Making of poffertjes reminded me of typical Karnataka food "Paddu/Paniyaram".. That is also made in similar pan. You can say it's a spicier version of poffertjes and served with chutney.

Ah by coincidence I iust recently saw that. Paddu however is a lot thicker but seriously can't wait to try it. It looked really good!

After the video i saw how to make poffertjes and made them at home...they taste different than pancakes(i added buckwheat flour/kuttu ka atta) but "good" different nonetheless although mine turned blackish dut to buckwheat flour...i dont know how close to the original taste they were, but thanks ivana for introducing me to poffertjes(PS i call them "pofferjays")

Hahhah that's awesome! Buckwheat flour will really give a different taste (I used to make pancakes with buckwheat flour) Try with regular maida next time but so happy you like pofferJays🤣😁

Just regular pancake ingredients but the batter is a bit thicker than regular pancake batter. Google for a recipe in details

I am from netherlands too and went to a bengali wedding in dhaka en visit cox' bazaar and also syllhet in the north east bengali. It was absolutely so amazing and beautifull ❤️

TRAVEL VLOG IV, oh sorry.. btw, I loved the fact that you covered some European food that's available in Bangalore. I think you should look for more European/Dutch food available in Bangalore for your viewers. About Mumbaikars hating Bangalore, somehow, most of the Mumbai people in Bangalore that I have personally met, complain about Bangalore and say "there's nothing much here. It's boring. Mumbai is awesome because bla bla bla" I'd like to tell them, there's nothing particularly awesome here. It's just nice weather and a nice experience (for many).
