Wow! You have more knowledge about traditional klederdracht than many Dutchies. I think it's awesome that you keep the autenticity alive. The Spakenbug shoulder pieces are also called kraplap. Great video, great museum.👍🏻

Can anyone explain why Dutch bonnets have ‘Angel’ wings… is it something to do with unmarried or single women.. a sort of visual indication to men so that they do not make advances at married women (women wearing bonnets without wings)… married Indian women have a red mark on their forehead for the same reason..

You can read someones social status from the clothes. Such as child, marriageable, engaged, married, widow/widower. Not only the headdress but also the color of the clothing and sometimes the jewelry.
