Yes, intentional harassment and provoking like she did (abuse of rights) is illegal as well. Enough reason the file a suit against that camera operator. And it gets even worse. One of the stories going on is that this camera operator not only wasn't allowed to shooting footage, it also seems that this woman was none other than the songwriter for the Israelian song, Keren Peles. I have to admit I don't know any pure facts about that. But if it's true, then what was someone other than a professional reporter doing with a camera? And if it wasn't a reporter, and it was a phone she used instead of a camera, then what was she doing there in that exact location in the first place, where she wasn't allowed to shoot any footage?

This is a rumor gone wild. I have asked for sources when i have encountered this in chatforums but not gotten any. Can you give me a reliable source for this claim? Cause if it is true, then it really is a scandal. If it is not true joost will fknd himself in the midst of a conflict he really do not need.
That camerawoman She was stocking him, what would happen if genders of the ‘victim’ and of ‘ perpetrator’ were swapped?
The incident was not physical AND he was provoced. Its before the judge and not yet proven if he is guilty. Isn't disqualification a disproportional measure? Especially cause the Dutch delegation offered more gracefull solutions like for example a public excuse.

@@Markiboy3 No, shame on you.
The decision by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) to withhold footage of Joost's alleged "threatening movement" has only fueled further speculation and confusion. Releasing this footage could have clarified the situation, potentially exonerating the artist and demonstrating that the decision to disqualify him was unrelated to this incident. Instead, it appears the disqualification may be tied more closely to Joost's controversial remark about Israels participation in the song contest. During a press conference, a Polish journalist asked the Israeli contestant, Golan, whether she thought her participation might pose a security risk to others, given Israel's ongoing military actions in Gaza, referencing the pro-Palestinian rallies in Malmo during the Eurovision Song Contest. Swedish presenter Jovan Radomir quickly intervened, informing Golan that she doesn't have to answer this question. It was at this moment that Joost Klein, interjected with a simple "Why not?", that challenged the avoidance of this delicate subject. This indicated his support for transparency and dialogue on difficult topics. His disqualification followed shortly after this interaction, not immediately after the alleged threatening gesture made days earlier toward a crew member. Additionally, if a formal complaint has been filed with Swedish police, the EBU should have allowed the legal process to conclude before taking action. Presuming innocence until proven guilty is a fundamental principle that should have guided their actions.

@@Markiboy3 Then we've got two plausible scenarios. First, if the police are done investigating, they can just release the video, which according to you is not the case. Second scenario and the most plausible one, if the police and prosecutor are not done yet, we should stick to "innocent until proven guilty," don't you agree? My bias is called thinking for myself... you should try that sometimes.

The real reason he was disqualified is because he during the press conference on Thursday he said ''why not ?'' to a question a Polish journalist asked the Israeli contestant that her presence brings security risk to others. The Isreali lady intially didn't want to awnser the question but eventually did. Joost Klein comment was percieved as so called ''anti-semitic by Keren Peles the songwriter of Hurricane the song of the Isreali performer. Joost Kleine was also harrased on Saturday by a Isreali broadcasting channnel journalist Dov Gil-Har from Kann News. Now that would be an artistic punk performance act that UvA students will talk about for a long time.
What a dysfunctional cabaret of sub par talent. Amazing to think that Abba's Waterloo came from this, but that was nearly 2 generations ago now.
It will all come out soon. There have been multiple complaints by multiple countries and performers all week over the israeli delegation's antics & harassment
Crew members can treat participants without respect and the participant gets expelled. Meanwhile de israeli delegation was taunting and threatening other countries and that was allowed??? EBU EXPLAIN THIS!!!!!!
