Located on the Huson riverbank, Mitsuwa was my favorite Japanese supermarket, which I regularly visited while living just a block from here.
Whenever I felt hungry and felt like being Japanese, I just walked down to the river area. It has a Japanese food court, groceries, cosmetics, appliances, housewares, and bookstores.
They have a great selection of Japanese dishes. Plus, there are many Japanese events to attend all year round.
It is definitely a great place to visit if you want to visit Japan, but don't have time to fly all the way there. I call it a "mini Japan" near NYC!
