Duo a Day plays Fiorillo Duet 4

Фильм және анимация

Dear viewers, welcome to Duo a Day. We're a mother /daughter violin duo. In this video we're playing Federigo Fiorillo's Duet #4 (op 14). I have been teaching her since she was 3 years old, and duets are a standard part of her repertoire next to concertos and etudes. I hope that these technique tips can help those of you who are looking for extra violin coaching. If you are interested in an online (or live) coaching, please contact me via my website: www.hebedechampeaux.nl/. Happy Fiddling!

My teachers says the shoulder is involved when you get to the frog. But you still have to keep your elbow up so You don’t look like a t-Rex

We're loving the T-Rex image. I guess the shoulder is indirectly involved, but never should be consciously lifted at when at the frog. The fingers, wrist, and elbow work in a fluid manner to guide the bow to produce the required sound.
