Memories. We played this in 1998, almost everyday after shool. We were about 13 years old. It was arcade saloon in giant basement with graffities. 4-player arcade machine with great stereo. One fighter, one elf, one cleric and one mage. Always. Every once in a while one of us heard about some new secret, new tactic. We were completing this game on one coin each. It felt like a steal, almost an hour of gameplay just for one coin.

The beginning cutscene alone is fantastic, and so is the final battle. Some of the best dragons I've ever seen.

To be fair, though, this is a compilation of ALL the bosses in the game, not just going through once--you see, there are multiple paths and options you can choose from in each playthrough, and each path leads you to a different boss to fight at the end of each. I sat down and played this on Steam with my adopted brother in Canada(thank goodness for online play), and we cleared it in, ummm...maybe an hour, hour and a half? I wasn't exactly keeping track of the time, so don't take my word as fact, but all the same, it was a fun romp, even despite having a hard time with the bosses. XD

Man this was an awesome game, I remember playing it at the local mall's arcade way back when that was a thing.

They need to make a spiritual successor for this game. Truly one of the best arcade beat'em ups of the generation, and I was really happy to see when they made it available for download on Xbox and steam. Imagine what they are doing with Dark Alliance but in this kind of format. Play as the forgotten real cast under the classic Capcom beat 'em up style. That would be nothing short of legendary. Side note, I want to do some more let's plays of this game! Essentially run through the game 100% with every character taking every route in the game. If you want to join me in a session online, let's exchange steam accounts and get a party going for my let's plays!!! OLD SCHOOL D&D OR DIE!!! Cheers everyone, IVC

@@stevenyeung1442 totally agree. I have a PS3 rom of it and it was kind of cartoony and creeper for my taste with some of the female character design looking over sexualized. Not something I care for in my video game time.

Fireball + Jump = Slide. When you're sliding you automatically pick up stuff off the ground.

In this case, it has no sense to show only the boss fights, because this game is completey resource-dependant for an average player, and the throwing weapons and spells are limited. Anyways, good job on the majority of the other videos.

Hey Shadowserg I got a question, do you think there is a co-op game you and a friend could play without taking damage?

Impressive !!! Most bosses have different attacks, she can avoid all without a single hit.

Very impressive game. But I sure didn't know they had fleets of airships in the Mystara D&D setting...

Ezerhodern, Flame Salamander, and Frost Salamander are the most difficult bosses to melee to death, they just attack so fast and wide and can chain you if you aren't careful. I usually play this game co-op though so we usually ban all magic charathers (more due to pacing due to not freezing time than making the game more difficult).

The second-to-last boss, Nagpa, is a very special creature. In the 5th edition Dungeons and Dragons lore, there are only thirteen of them in all of existence. They were once a cabal of powerful wizards that the Raven Queen, a powerful, god-like entity that came to essentially rule the the plane of shadows known as the Shadowfell, turned into their current forms for ruining a ritual that would have turned her into a true deity. She also placed a curse on the nagpas that prevent them from gaining any new magical knowledge and power except from the ruins of fallen civilizations and those left by great calamities. So in order to gain more power, all thirteen nagpas individually seek to actively bring about such ruinous events so they can plunder the vaults, loot the libraries and gather secrets of arcane lore of such fallen civilizations. They are perfect BBEGs (Big Bad Evil Guys) for the end of a high level campaign - they are CR 17 creatures that cast as 15th level wizards, and also have two additional tricks - the ability to charm creatures for a turn with a gaze attack that evil creatures make a save with disadvantage (roll two twenty-sided dice and take the lower of the two rolls), and the ability to paralyze every creature within 30 feet of it for 1 minute. This sort of works well in two ways - the charm could make a character do something the nagpa wants it to do (or not do something the nagpa doesn't want them to do) and the paralysis could be used so the nagpa can gloat as it enacts the final part of its terrible plan as the characters watch. The spells they usually keep prepared are generally a mix of stuff you'd expect a domineering final boss to have. The default spell list is as follows: Cantrips (at will): _chill touch, fire bolt , mage hand, message, minor illusion_ l st level (4 slots): _charm person, detect magic, protection from evil and good, witch bolt_ 2nd level (3 slots): _hold person, ray of enfeeblement, suggestion_ 3rd level (3 slots): _counterspell, fireball, fly_ 4th level (3 slots): _confusion, hallucinatory terrain, wall of fire_ 5th level (2 slots): _dominate person, dream , geas_ 6th level (1 slot): _circle of death, disintegrate_ 7th level (1 slot): _etherealness, prismatic spray_ 8th level (l slot): _feeblemind_

Great job there. Dunno how you managed not to get hit by some of those attacks (Tel'Arin's Haste, Behorlder's Cause Critical Wounds and Manscorpion's Scythe throw), specially because you weren't using any cheap strategies. 👍👍👍

Looks like to me he was getting hit A LOT on the Red Dragon fight--especially with the AOE stone drop attack yet he took no damage.....

Theres no 'easy way' or routine method to fight beholder, even with Holy Avenger. Sometimes it requires some luck just to beat it. Any Solo high-score player would definately avoid that path.

@@Anans1_Spyd3r Idk. That always hits me in that position. That and the 21:22 breath. It usually hits you the "ray" as well not only the breath in the ground. At least in the latest version.

reminder: You won't even fight half of these bosses in a single playthrough, this game has MANY alternate routes, and only a minute selection are guarantied (some of those being the War Machine, Demios the Lich, i beleave the Manticore, the Drow boss and Synn)

My apologies for not commenting earlier. I watched no damage runs of this game on Michaelpf08's channel, there are also no lose runs on his fighting game playthroughs,too.

its defaulted to 9000-ish damage but you can set it through character setting (notepad in character folder)

i didnt get the part where you fight both of the elfs i got the part where you fight tel'arin alone in the stairs part of the tower :/

I've seen someone mention Wii U. I know you can get it on PS3 direct download, Xbox 360 download and same on Xbox One from backwards compatibility. PS4 I THINK it's on PSnow. (I don't do the subscription services) Of course Steam as well, so plenty of ways to get this.
