My favourite character was probably Michelle Rodriguez. She nailed the physicality of the barbarian character without it feeling forced or cheesy or unbelievable. I have new respect for her as an actress.

They pulled a Pirates of the Caribbean, made a movie about something nobody would ever write a movie about, and carry it with fun characters and an interesting world.

This might be the biggest surprise this year in film, I don't think anyone had high expectations

This movie is not making money. All of it went to Mario. It’s a shame. This movie was so good I saw it twice. Please support this movie

This movie felt like a dramatization of an actual game, complete with the banter, funny failures, overplanning, and tense moments

The easter egg with the original characters from the Dungeons and Dragons cartoon from the 80s was almost worth the ticket price alone. Plus references to Baldurs Gate and Neverwinter.

It was actually cool too that the Paladin really followed the min-max strategy, absolute gun in strength, decent Dex, high wisdom and Intel, shocking charisma 😂😂

Did yall miss the characters in the cage. That was such a throwback to the D&D cartoon from the 80s. I was expecting the Dungeon Master to show up.

This movie really does deserve a 9/10 or 10/10 just because you have non-D&D fans that will enjoy it for what it is. But to those of us that are D&D fans, we can appreciate it even more because they actually had people that care about D&D and do it so much service. I know for one the Sorcerer actor took the time to use actual ASL in his spell casting gestures, and also they took the time to make mention of how Wild Magic is random and why he sometimes doesn't cast what he meant to cast, in the scene with the Intellect Devourers, it kinda made sense because none of their classes typically have High Intellect, in the last scene when they were fighting the Wizard, they kinda showed that the Stone Dragon was a Concentration spell because she kept trying to stay away and you could see her focused on the dragon and chanting. Then as soon as she got hit, failed the Concentration check, whoops there goes the summon! So many small touches like this in the movie, and I love it. I want a sequel so bad as long as they keep this same heart!

I like the new one. Favorite character for me is Xenk Yendar. One scene particular had Chris Pine character narrating his departure from the group. "There he goes...walking off in a straight line. He's approaching a rock. Is he going to walk around it? Nope- walks straight over it." 😂 I also found the grave burial scene humorous too.

As a Wizard player, the final battle was like candy. That's how I imagined I would duel and throw spells

I LOVED how you could tell Holga was raging and it gave her exceptional strength. Barbarians in D&D often get their superhuman strength from otherworldly forces they aren't just simply some juiced up body builders that could punch hard. that scene in the ally with the guards was a fantastic display of how a Barbarians enrage just allows them to do shit no human being could ever do. she was tossing 300lb guards in full plate armor around like they were dolls. absolute incredible.

I went with my dnd group and we're playing waterdeep dragon heist right now and when Lord Neverember was mentioned and shown in the movie, one of my players grinned and said "heeey, we saved this dude's son from some birdmen!", meaning Raenar Neverember. This alone really brought what we were playing and their deeds to live :)

Ever Since Wonder woman especially, (the first one) I've really liked Chris pine, he brings a lot of soul to his characters. Glad this movie is a success, I look forward to seeing it in theaters 👉

I think something underrated was how unique the fighting and magic was. It didn't feel like just clashing swords or projectile beams.

The druid "one shot" was one of the coolest things ive seen in awhile. LOVED this movie and hope we get more now.
