"Castle Ravenloft doesn't play quite like a Dungeons & Dragons game because there are more rules to it..."

I have the Drizzt one, and have played the two previous editions. My only misgiving for this game is (for me) you have to at least paint the player characters. I find them hard to distinguish on the board with all their same base colors. Other than that, I enjoy this very light dungeon crawler.

I own the first 4 D & D adventure games, all picked up cheaply. I have painted the first 2 and have used the minis in League of Dungeoneers. The game is good for when I just want a short dungeon crawl without the admin or time commitment of my campaign games.

There are certain aspects of these that I really liked. If nothing else, I thought they were great for one-shot pickup groups or getting people into the larger hobby. You can of course houserule them quite a bit, and they were (I believe) based on 4E (never played), which has been getting more attention on YT on some channels. 🍻⚔

It plays nothing like D&D. It's just objectively worse... unless you want to play solo I guess. As a boardgame, it barely gets a 4/10 from me. It's railroady, has very little in the way of any kind of story, and is just boring in general.

I don't want honest reviews I was dishonest reviews. Serious posting "honest review" implies you have made dishonest reviews for other products in the past.
