@@rowanrulezchaching9758 not aussie, but basically it’s a chant with relatively unknown origins even to The Angels where the crowd would shout back “No way, get fucked, fuck off” after the “Am i ever gonna see your face again” part is sung live.

This is wonderful. Started out thinking "Makes sense, they're not going to sing THAT lyric" but oh no, it just got better. And seeing the Brewster Brothers there too, absolutely fantastic. It's things like this that make the ABC and Triple/Double J a National Treasure.

They did it right. I was worried for a bit that they weren't going to, but they smashed it. Big smile.

Doc Neeson would of loved that!! The Angels was my first gig back in 1990… this was a fitting tribute to absolute legends of Australian music, well done all!!

So good. After all my requests for The Angels to be played on Triple J the Dune Rats made it come true.

This was the first (and last) rock song ever played at my private school (Barker College) - the band consisted of 4 Yr 11-12 students and a teacher. It was the "last" because we all screamed the reply to the chorus. The senior staff weren't impressed, but it goes down as one of the most legendary pieces of live music I've ever heard. Thumbs up for Mall Rats getting two of the original Angels band members to play it with them! This version is just awesome...

What a great way to start the day. Is this the greatest Pub Rock song of all time?

Amazing performance everybody! Bumped into the dune rats at a bar in bali a couple months ago, amazing lads, and they told me about how they were thinking about using this song for like a version. I told them how i had just seen the angels dark room tour, and that the "no way get f..." line was the highlight energy still of the show - crazy seeing the final product with actually securing the brewster brothers in the performance!

The Angels were my dad's favourite band. He grew up with them as his soundtrack, and every time they would play local (usually the Dee Why RSL) he'd get dressed up in his leather jacket and go down with his best mate to trash around to them and come home roaring drunk. He'd be absolutely smitten with this cover, so so so good to have classic Aussie rock still being enjoyed by the modern crowd. Congrats Dunies and friends, you've done it proud. And yes I am a couple of rumbos deep and I will not apologise for party rocking.

American here who has adopted this as my favorite song of all time.

you've no idea how many times I've watched this and just smiled. keep em coming, the uk needs good music sending over.

An instant classic like a version cover! I look forward to listening to it over and over for years to come and hopefully get my kids to fall in love with it just as I did from my parents! Great work to everyone involved!

Crazy how I never saw the resemblance dune rats share with angels just in a new time. Although still extremely unique in their own ways.

Great to see the Brewster brothers banging it out again. I saw the Angels late 1978 in a Blacktown pub, and many more times after. I'll never forget when Doc sprayed water on me as he performed this classic song. Thanks for a great performance and memories of the best pub band .

i'm no spring chicken, saw them live at the bellevue tuncurry. one of the best nights out i've had. thanks to dune rats for a great version!

So after hearing this live on the radio I waited patiently for the video and then still waited until I had the chance to catch up with my mother. As all parents do she formed my taste in music young before I ventured into my own territory which she was never much of a huge fan of. However when I was telling her about hearing this on the radio, before showing it to her, she said one thing of it and that was "they better have done the uncut version" Needless to say my 53 year old mother's neighbours are now questioning her age🤣🤣

As a 57 year old Angels fan I can say you guys are shit hot,the respect you lads showed to these LEGENDS is great. RESPECT.

The Angels' songs are not covered often enough, which is criminal. This version is brilliant (as are the various versions by The Angels) and the inclusion of the live version lyrics make me laugh out loud. I was born in the wrong damn country as not enough Aussie bands come to Scotland/UK
