Feyd’s relationship with the Baron is very much like the relationship between Caligula and his uncle Tiberius. Incredibly sick and messed up.

That's how it always should be. They work together, so they should support each other. No matter if actor or construction worker.

This quote came to mind as I held my breath through that scene. 🫢 “Quite an experience to live in fear, isn’t it?” - Roy Batty
Josh Brolin's Gurney is absolute perfection.
Austin Butler's performance is easily one of the standouts of this film; a movie filled with superb actors and performances. This is an actor to watch.

Definitely creeped me out in Sleepy Hollow.
So many wonderful actors have come together for part one and two. Saying I’m OBSESSED with these movies is a poor excuse for wording. It’s more than obsession it’s almost like I get to watch ART every time I watch these movies. The casting, the cinematography, the music, the costumes. I don’t have any other films that hold to this level of appeal and quality in my mind. THANK you so much for putting them together! ❤❤
Walken's words reiterate Tywin Lannister's words to Joffrey - 'Any man who must say, "I am the King", is no true king.'
I was looking forward to these 2 films for many years. They certainly did not disappoint. Very well done.

What better teacher for Paul as to how Harkonnen lead than Feyd-Rautha? Afterall, he was not impressed by neither Raban, nor the Baron. Feyd came close, and as you always learn from your enemies, it was a lesson well taken.

I did not catch that Feyd sounded like the Baron.....both in rasp, tone, and accent! Awsome job by Butler. His presence is captivating on screen so much so that I didn't catch that he was imitating Stellan......who's a Swede.
I love that they let Christopher Walken talk like Christopher Walken.

Жду третью часть с нетерпением. Первые две, это просто шедевр.
I really want to see more about House Harkonnen and life on Geidi Prime, it's a world we have never really experienced before...the way those girls in black all get excited and smile when Feyd stabs the girl in white because they are fed raw meat from the people Feyd slays everyday?, what kind of rules do they operate under? Vladimir and Feyd are a bit reminiscent of Tiberius and Caligula in some ways.

I still love the second part, but wish they still went crazy with the scale like with the first part (also, wish Liet-Kynes would have lived at least to have more time on the second part as well)
I get the distinct impression from Timotheé Chalamet that he's somehow "outside" the Hollywood celebrity-worship-seeking narcissism. It's as though he sees that world, understands it, maneuvers in it to advantage, and then ignores it outside of work. It's just an impression of his demeanor and how he says the things he says.
@BellinghamYorkshire
19 күн бұрын
I see his narcissism. Woody Allen has said Timothée Chalamet only decided to “denounce” him in order to improve his own chances of winning an Oscar. Chalamet, who starred in Allen’s film A Rainy Day in New York, said he did “not want to profit” from the movie and announced he would donate his salary to charity as a bid for an Oscar nom. He's a scammer. Chalamet told Woody's sister he really didn't mean it but had to do it to improve his chances of getting a nomination. Chalamet is a creep.
Austin will always be Will Shannara to me 😅
Control gives Margot complete confidence, allowing her to be the goddess of serenity. If you're a gladiator and are attacked by Fayd-Rautha with a knife, that's a problem. If you're Lady Margot and are accosted by Fayd-Rautha with a knife, what's the problem? There's no problem. You got this.
I gotta admit I found Feyd's introduction to be laughably sadistic to the point of ridiculousness. It felt like what a 12 year old would write if you asked them to write an introduction to an evil character. "So they just walk up to people and stab them, because they are evil". Sure - this is not unique to the Villeneuve adaptation at all, the Harkkonnens are just sadists. But it felt way more ridiculous in such a good film - compared to in the more campy and weird Lynch verison - where Rabban is pulling out the "herat plugs" of his servants
I am truly disappointed that the emperor did not find a reason to sound the cowbell.....
Austin Butler would be perfect for the character Mal'akh if they ever did a live-action Lost Symbol movie.
bloopers??
6:18 did she says walken or walk in
.......but he's got to have more cowbell
Mercy mon ami
Wonderful to hear that "bringing Feyd-Rautha to the screen" was "a responsibility"... oh, btw WTF happened to bringing Alia to the screen, Denis???
Great to see one of our own succeeding in Hollywood...Tu le merite Monsieur Villleneuve.
Feyd in Dune 2 was like the sniveling punk poser driver from Hell or High Water.

Which cannot happen on Earth at the moment because we have water. When the Sun's intensity reaches the point that the water can no longer act as a negative feedback loop, then you will have runaway global warming. That's not for at least 500 million years. By then humans or whatever the dominant life form is, should have left the planet. Arrakis has water. It's in the atmosphere or in the caches, but it's not cooling the planet through evaporation, condensation and albedo.
